Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that the most probable method to provide sufficient houses in major cities is to construct big apartment blocks.I completely agree with this view because in top tier cities population will be very high.Rather than having separate homes, apartment is best way to preserve space.
The primary reason why i support this veiw is most of the individuals from villages and towns migrates to cities for many reasons like job, education, sports etc.. we all know that cities consists of everything starting from local shops to international brands and businesses,so individual wants land for their business.moreover, colleges and companies have more branches in cities.this is due of population i believe apartments blocks are the better to way to provide houses. If people disgree the concept of apartment which can lead to massive land scarcity. For instance, many people want to live in city for better carrer opportunities, however they locate to cities.
Another important point is to consider is that apartment has many advantage.People can interact with each other very often.it enhances social communication, good relations between neighbours and communicity of apartment.Furthermore,by this concept more land is saved which plays crucial role in reducing deforestestation.most pupil cutting is to benifit land,if stay in apartment there is no need to cut tress.A clear example of this can be seen in bengaluru where many people living in apartments, that's why bengaluru called as green city.
As a result ,many roads can bulid in preserved land to ensure trafficless city.
In conclusion,I firmly believe that apartment blocks are the foremost course of action to give adequate houses to people .this mainly because to protect land, nature and social communication .Ultimately ,this would lead to better structured city.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you completely agree that apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes, and you give relevant reasons involving limited land, urban migration and environmental protection. The response therefore addresses the question, but the supporting ideas are often asserted rather than explained. For example, the point that people move to cities for jobs and education does not show in detail how high-rise housing meets this demand better than alternatives. The Bengaluru example is also difficult to follow: the link between apartment living and the city being called green is not established. Develop each main reason with a clear explanation and a specific, credible example, and briefly acknowledge a limitation or alternative to make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the main ideas are grouped by topic. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and connections between claims are not always logical. In the first body paragraph, the discussion moves from migration to shops, businesses, colleges and land scarcity without clearly showing how each point supports the central argument. Linking phrases such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore” and “As a result” are used, but they do not always make the relationship between ideas clear. Some references, including “this concept” and “by this concept,” are vague. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, then explain and illustrate it in a clear sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “population,” “land scarcity,” “deforestation,” “social communication” and “trafficless city,” showing an attempt to discuss housing and urban development. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, which sometimes makes the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “the most probable method,” “better to way,” “massive land scarcity” and “foremost course of action.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “veiw,” “disgree,” “carrer” and “benifit.” Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. Using accurate terms such as “high-rise buildings,” “housing demand” and “urban sprawl” would make the argument clearer and more appropriate to the topic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If people disgree the concept of apartment which can lead to massive land scarcity.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and punctuation can make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “population will be very high” lacks a clear grammatical link to the preceding clause, while “apartment has many advantage” has problems with article use and plural agreement. Several sentences also run together without appropriate punctuation, such as the opening paragraph. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected supporting clause, then check subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals and sentence boundaries.
