Student answer (Band 6.0)
Over last two decades urbanisation is increasing and in the big metropolitan it is necessary to built tall buildings. If questioned,I agree to this viewpoint to a large extent and my preferences will be discussed in the further paragraphs with valid reasons and appropriate examples.
The fundamental inclinations for my viewpoint is, increase in the population in the urban area.Over past few years people from rural area are moving to cities in search of job opportunities and better living. For instance most individuals livings in villages does the job of agriculture in their own fields.
Moreover, the second reason is living in apartments becomes easy in terms of finance, for examples two or three peoples can live sharing a specific home.Furthermore this kinds of centralised big buildings helps the metropolitans to reduce traffic congestion happening in the specific area due to increase in populations.
However, if there are big buildings and apartments there might be problems of maintenance like swage problems and water problems and other, which are minor but exist in life of the individuals and also can affect there daily routines and lives.
To sum up, it is important to have large buildings in the cities for population and easy living but on the other hand there are also some minor drawback which can be overlooked and handled, so sometimes peoples also have to live with the problems as big cities not only bring opportunities but also issues.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. While the main points regarding population growth and financial efficiency are relevant, they are somewhat underdeveloped. The supporting examples, such as the mention of agricultural workers, are a bit disconnected from the core argument about urban housing. To improve, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for a more thorough exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'To sum up' to link your points. However, the flow is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel abrupt. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'this kinds of centralised big buildings', where the pronoun usage could be more precise. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that the logical relationship between sentences is more fluid and natural.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your main ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'urbanisation', 'metropolitan', and 'traffic congestion'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'fundamental inclinations' instead of 'reasons' or 'arguments', and 'swage' (sewage). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and there is a tendency to repeat basic structures. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and ensure that your word choices are contextually accurate to enhance the sophistication of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('most individuals livings... does the job'), article misuse ('in the big metropolitan'), and punctuation errors. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are noticeable and occur frequently. You should focus on proofreading for basic errors such as pluralization and verb tense consistency. Increasing your control over complex sentence structures while reducing the frequency of these minor errors will help you achieve a higher band score in this criterion.
