Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, the convenient way to allocate enough homes in big cities is to construct tall apartment blocks. I largely agree with this view point as well as this essay will discuss my perspectives regarding to this statement with relavent examples.
To begin with, build tall apartments need less budget. To explain it, that kind of living place required less land and because of the price of ground is much expensive, people only need to buy a small area. For example, businessmen can get more reward by investing in an apartment as compare to house or villa. Therefore, if buildings are more tall so the rooms automatically increase with small landscape.
Furthermore, a city looks like well structured. To elaborate it, the population is incresed in the world so individuals shift to the urban areas for living comfortable life. However, personal house need more budget as well as worse an open area of a city. For instance, one personal home make hundreds of living place by build a tall apartment.
As a result, city not being crowded in the future.
However, some people think that they feel anxiety and frustrated in apartment. The reason behind it is some folks or neighbour behaviour as well as nature.
To conclude, i agree with that to provide frequent houses in big cities by contruct a tall apartment because that need small land as well as provide multiple rooms and several people live at the same place. While some argue that they feel burden and anxiety.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention cost-effectiveness and urban planning, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about 'businessmen' getting rewards is not fully linked to the broader social or urban planning implications of housing. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations or concrete examples. The conclusion restates your position, but the overall development remains at a basic level, which prevents a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the logical progression is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing (e.g., 'To explain it, that kind of living place required less land'). The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the main arguments and the counter-argument is abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas will help improve your coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on simple, repetitive language such as 'big cities', 'good', and 'small'. There are also several word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'frequent houses' instead of 'sufficient housing' and 'worse an open area' which is unclear. To reach a higher band, you need to incorporate more academic vocabulary and precise collocations related to urban development and housing, while also paying closer attention to word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'personal house need'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'build tall apartments need'), and missing articles or prepositions. Some sentences are difficult to parse due to these errors, such as 'if buildings are more tall so the rooms automatically increase with small landscape.' While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar significantly impacts the overall quality of the writing.
