Student answer (Band 5.5)
According to the my perspective the best way to provide enough homes in the large cities to build tall apartments blocks, I can completely agree with it because there is a lot of population at there and people need a big houses and more too.So the tall buildings and apartments make their lives much easier it takes less space, and give us more accomodations for the people and facilitates them too. So this should be definitely consider in making homes in the big cities because everyone deserves to be liv in their own house with personal space and this way gives them that much opportunity and it's budget friendly too.Suppose they makes 3 to four tall apartment block in one they can live and the rest of others they give them in the rents so according to this way they can manage their expenses too and this is also a best source of income for them . Large cities are full of population that's why sometimes job rates are decrease and people suffer Alot . So this kind of way give them employment and also Maje their life much comfortable and easier. I would highly suggest this way to others because this is full of benefits and also they make their assists for their children and loved ones for their education and source of or their future to secure it so this it righteous way

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. The arguments regarding 'job rates' and 'assets for children' are somewhat tangential and not clearly linked to the core issue of urban housing. Furthermore, the response is under the 250-word minimum, which significantly impacts the depth of the argument. To improve, you should provide more specific examples—such as mentioning urban planning concepts or land-use efficiency—and ensure each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-supported point rather than repeating the same general benefits.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay lacks a clear structure; it is written as a single block of text rather than using distinct paragraphs for the introduction, body, and conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often repetitive (e.g., 'So', 'and') or used incorrectly, which makes the flow of ideas feel mechanical. There is a lack of logical progression between sentences. To improve, you must organize your response into at least four paragraphs and use a wider variety of linking words, such as 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'in contrast', to connect your ideas more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, relying on simple terms like 'big', 'good', and 'easy'. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word-choice errors, such as 'make their assists' (likely meaning assets) and 'liv in their own house'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary related to urban development, such as 'high-density housing', 'urban sprawl', 'infrastructure', or 'cost-effective'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'they makes'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'everyone deserves to be liv'), and run-on sentences. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, as most sentences are simple or poorly connected. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that punctuation is used correctly to separate independent clauses. Practicing the use of relative clauses would also help add complexity to your writing.
