Student answer (Band 6.5)
In the modern era, due to plethora of reasons construction the number of sky-scrapers in metro cities which is the better to give ample houses to public. I am agree with this statments. In this essay, I will presenting my personal standpoint with suitable examples.
To commence with the first notable advantage of tall buildings, recently allmost youngsters are like to live in apatments instead of home as they want to better security along with freedom. In simple words, in houses they barely find peace of mind and security not good as well. To exemplify, as per a survey, 90% of population in South Korean citizens prefer to live alone in their own apartmnts rather than stay with family.
Moreover, they get many amenities in high rise bulidings it is second most beneficial merits as they do not have to spend their expenditure to get this facilities such as gym, parking, garden and children playing area and many more. Furthermore, beacause of increasing mass population it is the best way to build tall apartment blocks as the landscape is not enough to provide individaul house.
On the other side, providing tall apartments is not always good option for every families as the apartments are not spacious for joint familiy. For instance, in India most of the families are still live in together so, they are not able to live in small space.
In conclusion, although, it is not ideal house for joint families as less spacious, I personally infer that tall apartment blocks is more convenient to provide home to everyone and it is give myriad advantages such as modern facilities, freedom, security and it is also best option to build sky scrapers due to lack of land availibility.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding security, amenities, and land scarcity are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the example regarding South Korean citizens is a broad generalization that lacks specific context or depth. While the essay covers all parts of the task, the supporting evidence is often anecdotal or under-developed. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced explanations for your points rather than listing them, and ensure that your examples are more clearly linked to the central argument of urban planning and housing solutions.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' to signal the progression of your argument. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition 'it is second most beneficial merits'. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences is disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'amenities', 'landscape', and 'myriad'. However, there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'allmost', 'apatments', 'bulidings', 'beacause', 'availibility') and some awkward collocations, such as 'give ample houses to public' or 'spend their expenditure'. These errors occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent the meaning from being understood. To improve, focus on proofreading your work to catch common spelling mistakes and try to use more precise collocations to express your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('most of the families are still live in together'), missing articles ('due to plethora of reasons'), and awkward phrasing ('which is the better to give ample houses'). While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain errors that affect clarity. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement. Reviewing the use of articles and prepositions will also help reduce the frequency of errors and improve the overall accuracy of your writing.
