Student answer (Band 6.5)
Building tall aprtments is a good appraoch to manage the home problems in big cities. As the population of the world is increasing badly and large cities does not have the capacity to provide shelter to millions of people.
Everyone wants a home where ever he lives. Most of the people prefer ro settle down in big cities. As they have all the facilities like schools, colleges, hospitals, parks, bus stations, universities and better security. Cities also offer good jobs and a better life style. But every city has the cpacity to provide all these facilities to its locals or outsiders. Home is one of them. Its quite difficult to buy or even get a home on rent in major cities due to over population. Then the only choice left is apartment.
This problem has only one solution tall buildings. Just take example of the most populated and visited cities like Dubai, New york, Sharjah, London. There are number of tall buildings in which thousonds of people are living in apartments. Due to lack of houses or they are quite expensive as compared to rent a apartment. Tall buildings provide shelter and all facilities to the foreigners and to those who moved their for jobs.
On the other hand it is also noticable that people living in appartments faces some privacy problems. Which is quite better if living in a house. No doubt both of them have their own pros and cones but it is the demand of the developing world.
Consequently, it can be say that tall buildings are essential for big cities to provide shelter and basic facilities to people. Because big cities welcome everyone to change them and their lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention reasons such as population growth and the availability of facilities, the arguments lack depth and specific analysis. For instance, you list cities like Dubai and New York as examples, but you do not explain how their specific experiences prove that tall buildings are the 'best' way to provide homes, rather than just one of many ways. To reach a higher band, ensure you explore the implications of your arguments more thoroughly and provide a more balanced view of the 'extent' of your agreement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'On the other hand' and 'Consequently', to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions feel abrupt. For example, the jump from discussing city facilities to the conclusion that tall buildings are the only solution is quite sudden. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'aprtments', 'appraoch', 'cpacity', and 'thousonds', which are distracting. Additionally, the range of vocabulary is somewhat basic. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic collocations and synonyms. For example, instead of repeating 'big cities' or 'good', use more varied descriptors like 'metropolitan areas' or 'advantageous'. The word choice is functional but lacks the sophistication required for higher band scores.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'large cities does not have'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'people living in appartments faces'), and punctuation errors. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the clarity of your writing. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and proofreading for common slips in tense and pluralization.
