Student answer (Band 6.0)

I believe that building large Apartment provides homes to Homeless People to secure their future and live without any problems.

Building tall apartments provides a large no of rooms . Where a person can live his life happily without worrying about anything because a large no of rooms helps a large no of public to settle down in Apartment . Infact need to build apartments in large no of quantities. It helps people to encourage their confidence and livelihood in society. In Addition, they might help other individuals who experience being without a home and contribute a lot of things to society.

There are others reasons too where i disagree with building a tall and large Apartments to people, cause i don't feel like a deserving person like a individual without a home might not get the apartment block because the room which is for homeless people could get to the person , who already has a home and Another thing, The cost of constructing an Apartment is very high and Takes a lot of time to complete the whole process. So, if government or any other bodies want to construct the homes .They need to develop in large No of quantities .Otherwise, it would feel unfair to the other people ,who wants to secure their future by those schemes.

In conclusion,I believe constructing a tall Apartment help a lot of people who are in need to survive .On other hand, i also do feel constructing few apartment might not be enough .We need to create a large no of quantities cause i do want every people who are in desperate situation deserve to get a room .Although, it is a long process and very costly to start the process.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the pros and cons of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. While you express a position, the arguments regarding 'homeless people' and 'cost' are not fully explored or supported with concrete examples. The essay tends to over-generalize, and the logic regarding who receives the housing is slightly unclear. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed argument with specific evidence or reasoning that directly answers the 'to what extent' aspect of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between sentences is often mechanical or disjointed. For example, the transition 'Infact need to build' is grammatically awkward and lacks a clear logical link to the previous sentence. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often repetitive or incorrectly placed, such as 'In Addition' and 'On other hand'. The paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a clear progression of ideas. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each sentence builds logically on the previous one will help improve your score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is basic and often repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'large no of' and 'apartment'. There is limited evidence of less common lexical items or precise collocations. Some word choices are imprecise, such as 'large no of public' instead of 'a large number of people' or 'a large population'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including synonyms and more academic phrasing, and pay closer attention to word formation and collocation to ensure your meaning is conveyed more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include missing articles ('a individual', 'the government'), incorrect pluralization ('others reasons'), and subject-verb agreement errors ('constructing a tall Apartment help'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces missing before periods and commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, these frequent errors and the lack of complex sentence control limit the score. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors will be beneficial.
