Student answer (Band 6.0)

Indeed, without house it is very hard for some people to survive because it is basic need of every human being. There are some people who think providing houses in big cities is to create tall flats in one building. I am strongly believe that is good approach having suite in large cities, i would like to explicate my views in upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, there are plethora of reasons why it is better to providing enough homes by constructing buildings for people. The are some first and predominant one is, it will maximize the limit space, it is usally seen that large cities have land shortage. because in large lots of people have their own big houses with their own design which is they build according their own taste. Those houses are costly not every human being can afford that houses so people ljke to build their houses in villages due to less cheaper than having home in large cities. people faces lots of struggle while living in village because one of the main problem is transportation, medical and jobs. So, if the apartments would be create in urban cities it will ultimately reduce people stress, they can easily taking buses, or if they having any emergency related to their health, they do not have wait for longer time. Apart from this, they have golden opportunities to getting their good jobs in cities.

Moreover, there are few more reasons of this statement, the first and foremost reason is, it is much cheaper for goverment to supply public utilities like, water, electricity, sewage, high-speed internet to one concentrated high-rise block than to stretch pipes and cables across miles of suburban houses. However, people will think before using their electricity and water etc. lots of people using unlimited water without any usage and sometimes without any reasons they turn on their whole house lights it will have impact on their electricity bill. However, there are some people they living in someone home rental houses in someone homes it is hard for them to living with another family because sometime it has no privacy and lots of family owners take lots of charge from people even their rental rooms are not much worth it. people feel uncomfortable . as a result, proving flats in building for people gives them equality and privacy. Every one should pay equal amount for their rental flat.

In conclusion, people will shelter on their head while living in apartments with lots of benefits they live their freely life which i strongly believe that it is better chance for those people who cannot afford land and homes in big cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of high-rise apartments. The ideas are relevant, focusing on land efficiency, infrastructure costs, and social benefits. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat uneven. While the point about infrastructure costs is well-reasoned, the discussion regarding privacy and rental costs in the third paragraph is slightly tangential and repetitive. The conclusion is a bit simplistic and does not fully synthesize the main arguments presented. To reach a higher band, ensure that every paragraph directly supports the central thesis with more focused, logical development rather than drifting into personal anecdotes about rental experiences.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'However' is used incorrectly in the third paragraph to introduce a point that is not a contrast to the previous sentence. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, such as 'that houses' or 'those houses' without a clear antecedent. While there is a logical progression of ideas, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional misuse of cohesive devices mean the flow is not always smooth.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'without house' instead of 'without housing', 'less cheaper' (a double comparative error), and 'proving flats' instead of 'providing flats'. The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'infrastructure' or 'high-rise', but these are often overshadowed by basic errors. To improve, focus on learning collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('people faces', 'people... is'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms ('they can easily taking', 'it is hard for them to living'). While the student attempts complex sentence structures, these are frequently marred by errors. Simple sentences are generally more accurate, but the overall control of grammar is inconsistent. To achieve a higher score, the student needs to focus on basic sentence construction, specifically verb tenses and the correct use of prepositions and articles.
