Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 82 words. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While you state a clear position, the ideas are severely underdeveloped. The arguments provided, such as 'staying connected' and 'reducing urban sprawl', are mentioned but not supported with sufficient explanation or relevant examples. To improve, you must expand each point into a full paragraph with detailed reasoning and concrete evidence to meet the length requirement and demonstrate a deeper exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5
The essay lacks a clear structure. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the ideas are not logically sequenced or developed. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes misused, such as 'To embark on' (which is not a standard introductory phrase) and 'Nextly' (which is not a standard English word). The progression of ideas is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. You need to use a wider range of linking words and ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed main idea.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.5
The vocabulary is quite basic and contains several errors in word choice and form. For example, 'tall building apartment' should be 'tall apartment buildings', and 'usefull' is misspelled. The phrase 'multifarious advantages' is an attempt at higher-level vocabulary, but it is not used in a natural context. There is also a lack of precision in your word choices, such as 'face less crowd', which does not accurately convey the intended meaning. You should focus on learning common collocations and ensuring correct word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
There are frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. You have issues with subject-verb agreement ('population... has create'), sentence structure ('it help in people to stay'), and punctuation. The sentences are often fragmented or run-on, such as 'it this also reduces urban sprawl and helps and protect farmland and gr'. The range of structures is very limited, relying mostly on simple sentences with errors. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and proofreading your work for simple errors.
