Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this current era of scientific and technological progress, we find ourselves in the modern world where large homes in big cities in the form of large apartments is like a cup of cake. It is crucial that different people have different perceptions and level of intelligence regarding the given statement. I will discuss more broadly in the upcoming paragraphs which will lead into plausible conclusion.
From my perspective, there are various viewpoints to consider. First and foremost, proper construction of the map before the start of the building with the help of engineers and architecture that play a vital role in designing all the apartments with enough home space. they design the map with proper measurements and also prevent the use of any wrong pattern of the home in tall apartments. Moreover, they have distinct pattern of build homes in these apartments and take care of the privacy of the other families a swell.
Furthermore, those individuals who have positioned themselves as an alternative and have burnt the midnight oil to reach the desired position. from my personal point of view, authorities have not only paid attention to the gravity of the given matter but also have to take some serious steps to ensure positive outcomes.
Taking these point into consideration, I am inclined to believe that to use skills of the engineers, architecture and other construction companies to make proper design with the use of buildings maps provide enough homes in large cities in tall apartments and gather most people in small amount of area with all kinds of facilities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to clearly address the prompt. While it mentions tall apartments, it does not take a clear position on whether this is the 'best' way to provide housing. The arguments provided are vague and focus on the role of engineers and architects rather than the socio-economic or urban planning implications of high-rise living. The ideas are under-developed and lack relevant examples or logical support for the central thesis. The introduction is largely filler, and the conclusion does not synthesize a clear argument, resulting in a response that only partially addresses the task requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is weak. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused, such as 'In this current era...' which acts as a generic filler rather than a logical introduction. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the role of engineers and the conclusion is abrupt. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the internal logic within the paragraphs is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the writer's line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often inappropriate for an academic essay. Phrases like 'is like a cup of cake' are idiomatic errors that do not fit the context. There is a reliance on basic vocabulary, and attempts to use more complex phrases, such as 'burnt the midnight oil' or 'positioned themselves as an alternative', are used incorrectly or irrelevantly. The repetition of words like 'apartments' and 'design' indicates a lack of lexical flexibility. Errors in word choice frequently impede the clarity of the intended message.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'architecture that play a vital role'), sentence fragments, and awkward phrasing that obscures meaning. Punctuation is inconsistent, and the sentence structures are often repetitive or poorly constructed. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, they are frequently faulty, leading to a lack of control over grammar. The majority of sentences contain errors, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band score.
