Student answer (Band 5.0)
According to my point of view I agreed with this statement because in large cities people are so crowded and less homes. Many people became homeless, they lived on the streets or the small huts although if they have enough money to build their own home.
Instead of large homes if we work on apartment having different blocks are more useful. For progress in our work we firstly need to do surveys because through this we came to know about people needs and also their thoughts.
Not all apartments would be same instead of this we have to make different size apartments in different place. Single room apartments should also be build in case any oversees came to stay alone or students how came to study and want a separate apartment.
Apartments are also useful for those who cannot afford expensive home or for those who works for the country. Example; solders they don't have their own home town. They always had to adjust for the from city to city. In this case apartments are great for use. no tension of shifting or buying new house. They just post their for few months or years.
Another example is of students who came to study in your city they just need one or two room apartments where they have their privacy and personal kitchen or bathroom to use. Some students cannot adjust in their hostel because most of the hostels do not gave all rights to students that's why they prefer apartments rather than the hostels.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention the benefits for students and soldiers, the arguments lack depth and academic rigor. The essay relies on personal observations rather than broader societal or urban planning perspectives. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points by discussing factors like land efficiency, infrastructure, or environmental impact. The response is somewhat repetitive, and the ideas are not fully extended, which limits the overall impact of your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow between sentences is often disjointed. Cohesive devices are used in a very basic or mechanical way, such as 'Another example is of'. There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas smoothly. The progression of arguments is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking phrases and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly supports your main argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'homes', 'apartments', and 'useful'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'oversees came to stay' (likely meaning 'overseas visitors') and 'solders they don't have their own home town'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To improve, you should aim to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to urban development, such as 'high-density housing', 'urban sprawl', 'infrastructure', or 'accommodation'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('students how came', 'hostels do not gave'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain run-on structures. For example, 'According to my point of view I agreed with this statement because in large cities people are so crowded and less homes.' This sentence is grammatically awkward. To achieve a higher score, you need to demonstrate better control over complex sentence structures and reduce the frequency of basic errors in tense and pluralization.
