Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 147 words. Consequently, the task is not fully addressed, and the development of ideas is severely limited. The essay is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence, which prevents a clear position from being sustained or supported. The arguments regarding natural disasters and aesthetic views are underdeveloped and lack the necessary depth required for an academic essay. To improve, you must ensure you complete the task by writing at least 250 words and providing a structured conclusion that summarizes your main points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay shows some attempt at logical organization through the use of transition words like 'first and foremost' and 'moreover'. However, the structure is fragmented. The text ends mid-sentence, and the paragraphing is inconsistent, with one paragraph left incomplete. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes repetitive. To improve, focus on completing your thoughts within each paragraph and using a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly. Ensure that your essay has a clear introduction, body paragraphs with fully developed arguments, and a concluding summary.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. There are several spelling errors, such as 'Intiating' instead of 'Initiating', 'formost' instead of 'foremost', 'dangreous' instead of 'dangerous', and 'predit' instead of 'predict'. The word choice is often imprecise, such as 'give huge amount of houses' and 'tall structured places are always more disturb'. These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise academic vocabulary and pay closer attention to spelling and word collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The grammatical range is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentence structures. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, such as 'individuals live in the top floar' (should be 'living on the top floor') and 'it is really difficult to in big cities'. These errors are noticeable and sometimes make the text difficult to follow. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, which is necessary for higher band scores. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and preposition usage.
