The rapidly growth of urban populations has created a serious shortage of housing in many bigger cities . It is sometimes argued that constructing tall apartments is the best way to address this problem . I partially agree with the view , as high - rise building can accommodate large number of residents , although other forms of housing is also important .

to commence with , high rise building make efficiency use of limited land . To elaborate it , upward building allows thousands of people to live in the small area where polluted cities of land is expensive . Furthermore, apartments often to be constructed near the public transport and markets to short walking distance . For example , a artical published by the government of china in June 2016 and may 2017 clearly indicate that tall building is critical and crucial for the development of society .

To justify it , some masses prefer big rooms and yards where they can do some occasions and having family time without any intreption which is impossible in high rise development . By this approach , masses can ehance the productivity and quality of their lives with much ease , efficacy and convenience.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear, partial position. The ideas are relevant, such as land efficiency and the need for space, but the development is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding land efficiency is supported by a general reference to government articles, which lacks specific detail. The counter-argument about living space is relevant but could be more deeply explored to reach a higher band. Overall, the position is maintained throughout, and the main points are addressed, though the supporting evidence is a bit generic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'to commence with', 'furthermore', and 'to conclude', though some transitions feel slightly mechanical. The progression of ideas is generally clear, although the connection between the government article example and the main point about land efficiency is somewhat tenuous. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and the overall structure helps the reader follow the argument without difficulty.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. There are some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'polluted cities of land' (likely meaning 'where land in cities is expensive') and 'do some occasions'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'high-rise development' and 'accommodate', the range is somewhat limited. The errors in collocation do not impede communication, but they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'The rapidly growth' (should be 'rapid growth'), 'apartments often to be constructed' (should be 'are often constructed'), and 'tall building is' (should be 'tall buildings are'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While these errors are noticeable, they rarely prevent the reader from understanding the intended meaning, which is characteristic of the Band 6 level.
