Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 179 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state a clear position in the introduction, the arguments provided are underdeveloped. For instance, you mention 'low cost of maintenance' and 'big parkings' as reasons for preferring apartments, but these points are not expanded upon with sufficient detail or logical explanation. Furthermore, the essay is incomplete, ending abruptly after the first sentence of the second body paragraph. To improve, you must ensure all parts of the prompt are addressed with fully extended arguments and reach the required length.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay shows some attempt at logical organization, using basic linking words like 'Moreover' and 'Despite'. However, the progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is present, but the second paragraph is cut off, which disrupts the overall flow. Cohesive devices are used in a somewhat mechanical way, and the lack of a conclusion means the essay lacks a sense of closure. To improve, focus on developing each paragraph fully and ensuring that transitions between sentences are smooth and varied.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and contains several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'metropoliton', 'built' instead of 'building', and 'maintainences'. You use some relevant topic-specific vocabulary like 'residence' and 'urban areas', but the overall control is inconsistent. There is a reliance on simple phrasing, and some collocations are awkward, such as 'share the building from the different regions'. To reach a higher band, you should work on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure correct spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'i am fully agree' (should be 'I fully agree'), 'suggestion to built' (should be 'suggestion to build'), and 'youngsters are preferred' (should be 'youngsters prefer'). The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct verb forms, and mastering basic sentence construction before attempting more complex structures.
