Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the modern era, most of the individuals are moving from small cities to developed cities in search of employment. To provide shelters to them the best way is to construct tall building blocks. To large extent, i agree with the statement and will discuss my view points in the upcoming paragraphs.
To commence, a large number of families can live under one building. To elaborate, there will be no need for more land to build separate houses because in a house only one or two families can live but in apartment blocks around 30 or more families can live easily in their separate flats. Moreover, people can save their time and money if they prefer to live in tall buildings because nowadays, land is very expensive in developed cities a middle-class family cannot afford it. Afterthat, large cities are very crowded these days because of immigrants who are moving from rural areas to cities due to this there is not much land available for everyone.
However, there is not much privacy and freedom in apartments because noise is always coming from other apartments and they do not allow to renovate the apartments and the garden and parking is always share by everyone. For example, a survey was conducted in the USA showed that people who were living in their own house live freely and enjoy their life than who prefer to live in apartments.
To conclude, no doubt, living in apartments is not bad ideas because there is not much land available in big cities but government should make some rules to provide some more facilities to residents

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The main ideas—space efficiency and cost-effectiveness—are relevant, though the development is somewhat basic. The counter-argument regarding privacy is introduced, but it lacks depth. To improve, you should provide more specific examples or nuanced reasoning to support your claims. For instance, instead of a general mention of a survey in the USA, you could discuss the impact of high-density living on community mental health or urban infrastructure. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and could be more effectively linked to the main body paragraphs to reinforce your overall argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude', which helps the flow. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Afterthat' (which should be 'After that') and the transition between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother. Referencing is generally clear, but the logical progression within paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect ideas more fluidly rather than relying on simple additive connectors.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and sophistication. You rely on basic terms like 'big cities', 'small cities', and 'good/bad ideas'. While the meaning is clear, the range is limited. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'provide shelters to them' (should be 'provide shelter for them') and 'garden and parking is always share by everyone' (should be 'shared'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more academic collocations and precise terminology related to urban planning and housing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as 'most of the individuals are moving' (should be 'most individuals are moving'), 'To large extent' (should be 'To a large extent'), and 'than who prefer' (should be 'than those who prefer'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not impede overall communication, they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles to improve accuracy.
