Student answer (Band 4.5)
In today's mordern generation , individuals prefer to living at cities instead of village because of mordern techonology and development. The solid idea to give enough houses in big cities is to established tall bilding blocks.I completely agree with this statement because of their lots of benfits and advantages outweight disadvantages.
It is too much helpful in monsoon season. In the monsoon , because of rain every places and also people's house flooded so they face many problems in that situation and first one is no electicity and they cannot eat healthy food etc.So ,The structured of flats reduce that kind of issues.A person, for example, who lives in bilding , because of thier height water cannot reach at their home.it reduces stress and make life convinient.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 123 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the student takes a clear position, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack the depth required for an Academic Task 2 essay. The example provided regarding monsoon flooding is somewhat relevant but lacks the necessary elaboration to fully support the argument. Because the response is less than half the required length, it is impossible to fully address all parts of the task, leading to a low score in this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction or conclusion, and the paragraphing is insufficient. While there is a basic attempt to link ideas, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and often inaccurate, such as the awkward transition 'So ,The structured of flats'. The progression of ideas is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument logically. The lack of sufficient length prevents the development of a coherent, well-organized response.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'mordern' (modern), 'techonology' (technology), 'bilding' (building), and 'convinient' (convenient). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. The student relies on basic, everyday language, and there is no evidence of an attempt to use less common or more sophisticated lexical items appropriate for an academic context. Word choice is often imprecise, which occasionally hinders the clarity of the message.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. Examples include 'prefer to living at cities' (prefer living in cities), 'The solid idea to give enough houses' (The best way to provide enough housing), and 'The structured of flats' (The structure of flats). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and periods. The errors are pervasive and occur in almost every sentence, indicating a lack of control over basic grammatical rules.
