Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this developing world the population increasing as well. It is prevalent to witness problems relevant to housing crisis in mega cities. Authorities must establish multi floor apartments to provide homes to stay. I totally agree with this development and discuss key features points in this essay why.
From my perspective it is expensive nowadays to buy a single story house in urban cities due to lack of employment and recession going on.
Secondly there is shortage of enough space and finance to build new houses. To overcome this situation council must build tall multi story apartments building to provide sufficient housing for people, because these buildings acquire less space with multiple houses in one building and it is affordable owing to it focused only on living rather than providing luxury houses. In addition, instead of expanding cities outward to the natural habitats and destroying agricultural and natural lands it is straightforward to expand vertically.
Another reason this high-rise public housings are cost friendly as it requires low infrastructure cost. Concentrating residents in area can make roads, water, electricity, sewage and public transport more efficient. Furthermore, more public apartments can provide stable accommodation for homeless people to diminish homelessness. For instance there are considerable trend in Singapore and China for building apartments flats at lower cost which allows underprivileged public to buy a house.
In conclusion, as i think building tall housing apartments in metro cities are pivotal development. Because it provides affordable housing to the destitute society and assist government to grow economically by maintaining low infrastructure cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of tall apartment blocks. The ideas are relevant, focusing on space efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental preservation. However, the development is somewhat limited; while the essay mentions Singapore and China as examples, these are brief and could have been expanded to better illustrate the argument. The conclusion is a bit repetitive, restating points already made rather than synthesizing them. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explored with more detailed explanations or specific, illustrative examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition 'Secondly there is shortage' which lacks a comma, or the phrase 'Another reason this high-rise public housings are'. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing is more precise throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'pivotal', 'destitute', and 'underprivileged'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'multi floor apartments' instead of 'multi-story apartment blocks', and 'cost friendly' instead of 'cost-effective'. Additionally, there are minor errors in word formation, such as 'high-rise public housings' (should be 'housing'). The range is sufficient to convey meaning, but lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the population increasing', 'in area'), subject-verb agreement ('this high-rise public housings are'), and punctuation (missing commas after introductory phrases). Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'I totally agree with this development and discuss key features points in this essay why.' These errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would be beneficial.
