Student answer (Band 5.0)
in the modern era it is good way to build apartments blocks for providing homes in large cities because a tall apartments blocks give residence to more peoples i agree with this and also share my opinion in this essay .
my first reason is that the tall apartments give shelter to a large number of peoples these peoples live in different apartments they have no concern with others in a small places a numerous people should live by this there is no wastage of place the other place is use for giving more residence to other peoples by this there is no problem for the cultivated land .
and the other reason the security should be tight is there are simple homes in society there is number of security guards to make the society safe but in a apartments blocks donot need number of guards because different types of peoples live in closed apartment everyone have different and secure apartments only one guards is enough foe security in apartments public feel safe in stead of house and the system of sevrage water supply is a responsibility of the apartment managements .
in conclusion i agree with this that the way to provide homes in large city is to build tall apartment blocks because in a bounded number of people live in different apartments and the system of security should be increased and there is no worry of severage and water supply because it is responsibility of the apartment manager .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention space efficiency and security, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth or specific examples. The essay relies on generalizations rather than exploring the complexities of urban planning or the potential drawbacks of high-density living. To improve, you should aim to expand on your points with more detailed reasoning and perhaps acknowledge counter-arguments to provide a more balanced and sophisticated discussion. The current structure is quite basic and lacks the depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is weak. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link ideas effectively; sentences often feel disjointed. For example, the transition between the idea of space and the idea of security is abrupt. The use of referencing is also problematic, as it is often unclear what 'this' or 'the other place' refers to. To improve, you should use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic words like 'good', 'place', 'peoples', and 'homes'. There are also several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'no concern with others' and 'the system of sevrage'. The word 'peoples' is used incorrectly throughout; 'people' is the correct plural form. To reach a higher band, you need to incorporate more precise, academic vocabulary related to urban development and housing, and work on using words in their correct context to express your ideas more accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'a tall apartments blocks give'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, making them difficult to follow. The range of structures is very limited, relying mostly on simple sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including correct pluralization and verb tenses, before attempting more complex structures. Proofreading for basic errors like 'one guards' instead of 'one guard' is essential.
