Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, constructing tall residential buildings is becoming increasingly prevalent. Some Peoples believe that it is the best way to provide enough homes in large cities while other opposing it. I partially agree with this statement Because I believe that other ways also existed to accomodate the people. This essay will discuss why tall buildings are important in modern era and also identifies the other ways that are for replica huge buildings.

on the one hand, there are several benefits of building upwards instead of outwards. First and foremest, it allows to adjust an accommodate large population in relatively small area. It also helps to

reduce commuting time, because the tall buildings usually constructed in the city centers, so, the job and other opportunities are becoming closer. moreover, It is also helpful for students and young professionals who have to live alone in city cities for better opportunities. Furthermore, tall building usually reduce the utility expenses because it has centralize water and electricity system.

on the other hand, The concept of tall buildings comes up with several negative aspects by which I only partially agree with the statement. The first disadvantage of living in tall buildings is the lack of privacy. If we have to live in apartment with family then it's quite difficult because there is no private space like family gatherings gardens or laws for family gatherings. Moreover, the tall buildings are very expensive so, the poor can not able to purchase apartment in it. Furthermore, the

maintance cost is very high in that type of buildings. Another issue is that by the increasing number of buildings, greenery becomes less day by day which causes air population. In my Point of view, government have to should also invest in other solutions such as developing satellite tows with good transport links and offering incentives for affordable housing projects.

In conclusion, I Partially agree with that statement that the tall buiding are the only Possible solution to adjust densely population. I believe that there are other ways which also offers solutions to that issue. Therefore, we also have to encourge other options.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of tall apartment blocks. You maintain a clear position throughout, arguing that while tall buildings are beneficial, they are not the only solution. However, some ideas are under-developed; for instance, the mention of 'satellite towns' is a good alternative, but it lacks specific explanation or examples to fully support your argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that every point made is supported by a clear explanation or a concrete example. The structure is logical, and you have successfully covered both sides of the argument before concluding.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use cohesive devices such as 'on the one hand', 'moreover', and 'in conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'by which I only partially agree'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'other ways that are for replica huge buildings', which is confusing. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words will help achieve a higher score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'prevalent', 'accommodate', and 'incentives'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'air population' (likely meaning 'air pollution'), 'replica huge buildings', and 'centralize water and electricity system'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on learning the correct collocations for common academic topics and proofreading for spelling errors like 'maintance' and 'tows'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this level. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('government have to should'), article usage ('the tall building'), and incorrect verb forms ('can not able to'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the misuse of commas and capitalization (e.g., 'Peoples', 'Point of view'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, they occur frequently enough to keep the score in the 6.0 range. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for small errors will be beneficial.
