Student answer (Band 5.5)
The growing influence of tall apartment blocks in modern society has sparked various debates. This issue is particularly significant because it affects both individuals and communities in multiple ways. In this essay, I will discuss about the tall apartment blocks and give my opinion with some suitable examples and their implications for society.
One of the key benefits of tall apartment blocks is that save land for other purpose, then people get the more opportunity in town. It promotes innovation, creativity, and access to a wide range of opportunities. This is also evident for the fact that in the smart place people buy and sale everything and enjoy the life with children in the town park. The many grocery shop is also available in tall apartment blocks, and one to two school are also present in apartment for academic word. As show in various studies, people always complete safe in the apartment because one security guard is provide from the apartment owner. This has had a profound effect on strengthening social harmony and economic growth in many regions.
However, despite the benefits, tall apartment blocks can also lead to significant challenges. For example, differences in values and beliefs related to apartment blocks may create problems. People do not get the fresh air and suffer from the disease. Mostly the oxygen patients from the tall apartment blocks rather than the urban cities. Moreover, in the apartment blocks the large garden do not available for playing game and other purpose like walking and running, then people go to other cities for playing game.
In conclusion, I think tall apartment blocks provides both significant advantages and notable disadvantages, and their impact depends on how effectively they are managed in society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While the benefits are mentioned, the arguments regarding 'innovation' and 'smart place' are vague and lack logical connection to the topic of high-rise living. The disadvantages section is also underdeveloped, relying on unsubstantiated claims, such as the assertion that residents suffer from oxygen deficiency. The position is somewhat clear, but the lack of specific, well-supported examples prevents a higher score. To improve, focus on providing concrete evidence or logical explanations for your claims rather than general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression of ideas is often interrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of cohesive devices. For instance, the transition 'This is also evident for the fact that' is misused, and the connection between sentences within paragraphs is often weak. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. To improve, use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother flow of information.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of inaccurate word choice and collocation, such as 'save land for other purpose', 'oxygen patients', and 'academic word'. These errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. While you attempt to use some topic-related vocabulary, the lack of precision and the reliance on basic phrasing restrict your score. To improve, focus on learning collocations (words that naturally go together) and expanding your range of academic vocabulary to express complex ideas more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('one security guard is provide'), article usage ('the large garden do not available'), and sentence fragments. These errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to discern. While the intent is generally clear, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
