Student answer (Band 5.0)

IN RECENT ERA, FINDING HOMES IN LARGE CITIES IS A BIG TASK BECAUSE OF THE LARGE NUMBER OF POPULATION MOVE FOR JOBS AND STUDIES. SO, BEST WAY TO PROVIDE ENOUGH HOMES IS TO BUILD TALL APARTMENT BLOCKS. I MAJORILLY AGREE WITH THIS NOTION AND MY POINT OF VIEWS WILL BE DISCUSSED IN ENSUING PARAGRAPH.

TO COMMENCE WITH, BUILD TALL BULDINGS FOR FLATS IS A GOOD WAY TO PROVIDE ENOUGH HOMES. BECAUSE LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IS MOVE IN LARGE CITIES FOR JOBS AND STUDIES IN RECENT EAR AND THEY SUFFER WITH LOT OF PROBLEM TO FIND A HOME SPACE IN THEIR BUDGET. FOR EXAMPLE, THEY RENT AND BUY A HOUSE AND LIVE ONLY 5-6 PEOPLE IN THAT SPACE BHUT IF ON SAME SIZE OF HOUSE PLACE BUILD A TALL BUILDING THEN ALMOST LIVE 100 FAMILIES THAIR. MOVEROVER, ALSO IN BIG CITIES MOVE NEED TO BUILT MARKETS AND OFFICES IN ALL LAND COVER FOR HOUSES THEN FOR EXPAND THE CITIES NEED TO COVER COUNTRYSIDE AREAS WITH THIS ENVERIONMENT GETS AFFECT BECAUSE AGRICULTER IS MOST IMPORTNENT FOR THE POPULATION.

IN THE FLIP SIDE, TALL ALSO RICK FOR THE SENSETIVE AREAS LIKE WHERE EARTHQUICKS AND OTHER ENVIORMENTS DESASTER EASILY FOUND. ON THAT AREAS TALL BUILDINGS ARE TO RICKY OF THE PEOPLE BECAUSE BUILDINGS ARE EASYLY COLAPS. TO EXPLICITE, IN RECENT YEAR MANY PEOPLE LIVE IN APARTMENTS AND DURING THE EARTHQICKS BUILDINGS WERE COLAPS AND PEOPLE DIE DUE TO THIS DISATER. ON THE OTHER HAND, IN LARGE CITIES ENOUGH LAND ARE NOT AVILABLE SO PRICES ARE TO HIGH IF TALL APARTENTS BLOCKS ARE BUILD THAIR PEOPLE GET THEIR HOUSES IN LESS MONEY THAN HOUSE AND THIS WILL ALSO HELP FULL FOR MIDDLE CALSS PEOPLES.

IN CONCLUSION, BUILD TAAL APARTMENT BLOCKS ARE BEST WAT TO PROVIDE ENOUGH HOMES IN LARGE CITIES IN AFORTABLE PRICE AND PEOPLE EASYLI FIND HOUSES ALSO NOT AFFECT ON AGRICULTURL LAND ARE STOPD, IN SENSITIVE AREAS WHERE EARTHQUICKS ARE COMMEN BUILD TALL BUILDINGS ARE TOO RISKY FOR PEOPLE LIFES.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. The main ideas—urban density, land preservation, and safety concerns—are relevant. However, the development is inconsistent. While the argument regarding land efficiency is clear, the discussion on safety is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. The conclusion is a bit contradictory, as it acknowledges the risks of earthquakes but fails to synthesize this into a nuanced final stance. The ideas are generally relevant, but the lack of sophisticated supporting evidence or examples limits the score to a 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate (e.g., 'IN THE FLIP SIDE', 'TO EXPLICITE'). The progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive transitions. While there is a logical attempt to contrast the benefits and drawbacks, the lack of smooth linking between sentences makes the flow feel disjointed. Paragraphing is present but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks the necessary cohesion to reach a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice and spelling (e.g., 'MAJORILLY', 'BULDINGS', 'ENVERIONMENT', 'AGRICULTER', 'RICKY', 'COLAPS'). The student struggles to use precise terminology, relying on basic descriptors like 'big task' or 'good way'. There is little evidence of less common lexical items or an awareness of collocation. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the high frequency of spelling and word-choice errors occasionally causes some difficulty for the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty (e.g., 'BECAUSE LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IS MOVE IN LARGE CITIES'). There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement, tense usage, and article placement throughout the text. Punctuation is also inconsistent, which affects the clarity of the writing. While the student attempts to use a variety of structures, the high frequency of grammatical errors is noticeable and often impedes the flow of the argument.
