Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is agrued that building small apartments is the best solution to provide sufficient shelters in big cities.. I completely agree with the statement because it saves space and less costly.
One of the primary reasons is that space should be saved. This means that when appartments are made, this will save the earth space that can be used for other purposes instead of constructing houses such as for agriculture, for hospitals, boitechnical gardens and food storage godwons. As a result, this will helpful in fulfilling all the essential needs that human being requires to lead a better life, which are insuffient these days due to lack of space. For instance, In Indian Gujrat is one of the indian states that have high buildings for sheltering in cities and saved space is dedicated for agricultural purposes.
Another reason is that tall buildings are affordable for all. That is to say, when constructor sell their buidings or make bid, they charge for constucting price and material, in which plot price are not included. Therfore, this makes the building cheaper and allow people to buy who have less budget.
In conclusion, providing home to all could only be possible if governments will invest in constructing building blocks which will not only save earth space, but also provide home in reasonable prices.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, totaling only 219 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the arguments regarding space-saving and affordability remain somewhat superficial and under-developed. While the example of Gujarat is relevant, the explanation of how tall buildings specifically reduce costs is logically weak and lacks depth. To reach a higher band, you must expand your supporting arguments with more detailed analysis and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for full development of your ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'One of the primary reasons', 'That is to say', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, the flow is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'when constructor sell their buidings or make bid'. While the structure is generally coherent, the lack of length limits the complexity of the logical progression. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'agrued', 'appartments', 'boitechnical', 'godwons', and 'buidings', which distract the reader. The word choice is often simplistic, such as 'big cities' or 'less costly'. To improve, you should focus on using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to urban planning and economics. Expanding your vocabulary to include less common items would help demonstrate a more flexible range of language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'this will helpful', 'human being requires' (should be plural), and 'allow people to buy who have less budget'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and refining your control over complex sentence structures to ensure they are error-free.
