Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the supporting arguments are underdeveloped and repetitive. You mention traffic and land usage, but these points lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. The conclusion is also quite brief. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for a full exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'To commence with' and 'To exemplify'. The progression of ideas is often hindered by the limited length and repetitive phrasing. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between sentences feels abrupt. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that flows logically into the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, relying heavily on basic terms like 'big', 'make', and 'professional'. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'resent' for 'recent', 'profetional' for 'professional', 'struter' for 'structure', and 'redus' for 'reduce'. These errors occasionally make it difficult for the reader to follow your meaning. To improve, you should focus on learning more precise academic vocabulary and pay closer attention to spelling. Expanding your range of synonyms will help you avoid repeating the same words throughout the essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('it increasing', 'traffic is on road incres highly'), incorrect word forms ('build tall apartment' instead of 'building tall apartments'), and punctuation errors. You rely mostly on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors that impede clarity. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically verb tenses and pluralization, before attempting more complex grammatical structures. Proofreading for basic errors is essential.
