Student answer (Band 5.0)
In large cities the people don't find good houses for to buy because the economy of people is so high and the houses is not enough in large cities and people also want facilities in their houses for example for the short family they dont want a big house they just preferer a apartment because it also a saving of expenses
i am totally agree with this that the best way to provide houses to build a tall apartment block for the people because most of the community can't afford a big house, they also choose a simple and good-looking apartment it helps people with not much expenses and if they want to sale it is also very easy
because the house price is very costly and the apartment price is good for the most of community the overseas can live easily in apartment because if they want to leave the apartment in the future it can leave it very easily in the apartment the people just pay maintenance and their bill which is not much

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 176 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the arguments remain superficial and repetitive. While you state a clear position, the lack of depth and the failure to provide concrete examples or a well-structured argument mean the task is only partially addressed. To improve, you must expand your points with specific explanations and relevant examples to meet the length requirement and provide a more comprehensive discussion of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction or conclusion, and the paragraphs are poorly defined, with the second paragraph starting with a lowercase letter. The use of cohesive devices is very limited, relying on simple conjunctions like 'because' and 'and'. The progression of ideas is difficult to follow due to the lack of logical transitions between sentences. To improve, you should use clear paragraphing (introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion) and incorporate a wider range of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast' to connect your ideas more effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. Phrases like 'good houses', 'big house', and 'not much' are simplistic. There are also errors in word choice, such as 'economy of people' (likely meaning 'cost of living') and 'for to buy'. You need to expand your vocabulary to include more precise, academic terminology related to urban planning and housing. Focus on using collocations and topic-specific vocabulary to convey your arguments with greater clarity and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The grammar is characterized by frequent errors that occasionally impede communication. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement ('the houses is not enough'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, lacking proper punctuation. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. To improve, you must focus on basic grammatical accuracy, such as pluralization and verb tense consistency, and practice constructing more complex, error-free sentences using subordinating conjunctions and relative clauses.
