Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argued that the best way to provide adequate home in large cities to build tall apartment blocks because it is not only save a land but also gives better access and facilities to individuals. i strongly agree with this viewpoint because it improve public amenities and comfort.
One of the main reasons to build a tall apartment in town area is that save land. This is because in cities area, land is very costly and housing requirements are high, so that's why full-filled this demand to government and businessman both constructed vertical apartments instead of horizontal. Furthermore, most of people live in same area due to this it not only help to reduce traffic but also reduce urban expansion and reduce high cost of land. For instance, tall apartments accommodate hundred of families. As a result, it help to protect farmland area and green area.
In addition to, it gives access to facilities for urbanites because skyscraper buildings generally construct in urban so government provide so many amenities such as Hospitals, Schools, Shopping centres and Public Transportations. It also saves commuting time because in many cities public transportation is not only fast but also efficient. If people use these types of services, traffic congestions will be less. As a result, individuals live their life conveniently.
However, there are some negative aspects such as it effects on public health and people not access internet connection easily. It create complications for individuals who work from home.
In recapitulations, I firmly believe that government should provide skyscraper buildings, so that's why more land acquired for green land and other facilities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The main ideas—land efficiency and access to urban amenities—are relevant and supported with examples. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The counter-argument regarding public health and internet connectivity is introduced but remains underdeveloped, lacking sufficient explanation or a clear rebuttal. While the position is consistent, the essay would benefit from more depth in the supporting arguments to reach a higher band. The conclusion effectively restates the position, though it introduces a slightly repetitive summary of the main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'For instance', and 'In addition to' are used to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'In addition to, it gives access...' and 'In recapitulations'. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the phrase 'so that's why full-filled this demand to government', which disrupts the flow of the argument. While the overall progression is coherent, the control of cohesive features is not yet flexible or sophisticated enough for a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'urbanites', 'skyscraper', 'urban expansion', and 'traffic congestions'. However, there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'full-filled this demand' instead of 'to fulfill this demand' and 'it effects on public health' instead of 'it affects public health'. The range is sufficient to discuss the topic, but the lack of precision and the presence of word-formation errors limit the score to the 6.0 band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('it improve public amenities', 'it help to protect'), missing articles ('in cities area'), and awkward phrasing ('it is not only save a land'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of grammatical slips is noticeable. These errors do not typically impede communication, but they occur often enough to prevent the essay from reaching the 7.0 band, where a higher frequency of error-free sentences is expected.
