Student answer (Band 6.0)
Populations is sharply increased in recent time and cities are getting more influxe of people in urban areas that put more stress on resources like housing infrastucture. Cities with the limited space are not able to keep up with the home demand are affected most and push the goverments to build high rise buildings. I disagree that build high apartment block is best solution to tackle the issue and it will furthur reduce the standard of living.
Firstly, tall apartments blocks will fit many people in smaller space which will be increase in congestion and public safety can be compromised. For instance, if there is fire in bulding it will be tough to evacuate the whole building and small fire incident from small household could risk larger population chunk. Fire fighers may struggle to reach the fire if affected part is high further risk of fall of bulding to near infrastructure. Robust alarm systems and with strict routine maintenace required that would be hard to implement for goverment.
secondly, high rise buildings are complex structure and ensuring sanitation could be challenging that might increase the risk of disese spread and manage the outbreaks. In example if there is any outbreak of disease multiple people are using common space that spread disease rapidly by making public at health risk. In multilayered buldings most resident use commom elevator, laundry, corridors, stairs and so on that transmit virus and bacteria easily and prove the above point. Keeping the common are clean and expect all resident to follow proper hygiene and civic sense is recommended but it could missed and leads the problems.
In summary, high rise buldings are good idea to control the housing need but it should promote other ways and implementing proper regulations could make is feasible.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the idea that tall apartment blocks are the best solution. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention safety and sanitation, the arguments are slightly repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about fire safety is valid, but it could have been strengthened by discussing alternative urban planning strategies or the economic trade-offs involved. The conclusion is a bit contradictory, as it acknowledges the necessity of high-rise buildings while simultaneously arguing against them as the 'best' solution. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a more nuanced exploration of the topic rather than just listing potential problems.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'secondly', and 'In summary' to signal the structure. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear. For example, in the second paragraph, the transition between the fire safety point and the mention of 'robust alarm systems' feels slightly abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'congestion', 'infrastructure', and 'outbreaks'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor spelling errors, such as 'influxe', 'bulding', 'disese', and 'goverment'. These errors do not generally impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensure you proofread for common spelling mistakes. Expanding your vocabulary to include more academic, topic-specific terminology would also help elevate your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('Populations is sharply increased'), missing articles ('if there is fire in bulding'), and awkward phrasing ('it will be increase in congestion'). While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly article usage and verb tense consistency, before attempting more complex structures.
