Student answer (Band 6.0)
The most effective method of building spaces for people to move in is through building skyscrapers in the cities, which can accommodate many families in a block of apartments. I completely agree with this statement, this approach can create spaces for the government to construct public facility centers or other such infrastructure that can contribute towards providing public facilities.
To begin with, building large blocks of apartments can be beneficial rather than building independent houses or villas, they usually acquire more space, to overcome such problems, apartments are the best approach. For example, if people started living in the apartments, unlike constructing independent houses, this can create more space for the government to use the space for building other useful infrastructures, such as parks, garden, or facilities for the locals.
Moreover, in an apartment it can easily create space for more than 20 families with sufficient area of living similarly to villas. It also comes with many amenities such as security, swimming pool, gym and parks also including parking space for the residences with low maintenance cost. There is always a problem for availability of space in the cities, because of gated societies the space is very less in order to construct any public amenities. People can have the flexibility of choosing the space they needed. For instance, if a there is a nuclear family they can go for 2 bhk flat, this can reduce the overall price of the apartment depending on the space provided.
In conclusion, apartments are the better way of creating space in the cities, as it can withhold lot of families in a single space, which can broaden towards constructing of public facilities in the cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. The main ideas—space efficiency and the potential for public infrastructure—are relevant. However, the development is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the argument about 'space' is repeated across paragraphs without adding significant depth or nuance. While the position is consistent, the supporting examples, such as the mention of '2 bhk flat', are a bit simplistic and do not fully explore the broader urban planning implications. To reach a higher band, you should aim to extend your arguments with more sophisticated reasoning regarding the social or economic impacts of high-density living.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression from the introduction to the conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical. For example, the transition between the benefits of amenities and the issue of space in the third paragraph is slightly abrupt. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as the phrase 'to overcome such problems' in the second paragraph, which lacks a specific antecedent. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'infrastructure', 'amenities', and 'nuclear family'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there is a tendency to repeat words like 'space' and 'building' frequently. There are also minor collocation issues, such as 'withhold lot of families' (should be 'accommodate') and 'move in' (which is vague in this context). To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and synonyms to avoid repetition and demonstrate a more flexible command of the language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. For example, 'if a there is a nuclear family' contains a redundant article, and 'the space is very less' is non-standard (should be 'very limited'). There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and punctuation, such as comma splices in the first and second paragraphs. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on sentence boundary control and article usage would be beneficial.
