Student answer (Band 5.5)
Sky scrapper are now days are considered as way of standard and luxury living but according to me these concrete structure has worse effect on nature's landscape and ecologic system.
Undoubtedly, these large building have created a solution to our growing massive population but excessive development has also been ignored. The dominance and the way they were built are completely ignored. Some of them have been developed by cutting a large amount forest area while some of them are constructed illegally with negative adherence to city and country guidelines.
There are some other reason to disagree with this statement the impact of living in these tall building often people avoid to give a mere thoughts about the condition how they are living some of them are too tight have no proper ventilation while some of them are constructed with the cheap materials. A recent studies have shown that some of the materials used in construction of these building have contents that are responsible for lungs cancer. These building are often have high maintenance while some are build only to generate profits ignoring people and public health.
Inconclusion these building are consider as an approach of sustainable land usage but in view if compared to suburban area the people living in these area are much more stressed and have limited option to enjoy there surroundings. An Approachable development or standardized development must be given a focused either a city planning department or by local authorities so that land misuse should not be done in anyways

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the use of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention environmental concerns and health issues, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. For instance, the claim regarding lung cancer from construction materials is a strong point but is presented as a vague assertion rather than a well-supported argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main point is fully extended with logical reasoning or concrete evidence. The conclusion is also slightly disjointed from the main body, as it introduces a new suggestion about city planning rather than summarizing the points already made.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'Inconclusion' is not a standard transition, and the flow between sentences is sometimes abrupt. There are issues with referencing; in the second paragraph, 'the dominance and the way they were built' is unclear, as it does not explicitly link back to the previous sentence. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and contains several errors that occasionally impede clarity. You use some relevant terms like 'sustainable land usage' and 'ecologic system', but there are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'Sky scrapper' instead of 'skyscrapers', 'now days' instead of 'nowadays', and 'adherence' used incorrectly in the context of city guidelines. Some phrases are also repetitive or awkward, such as 'give a mere thoughts'. To improve, focus on learning the correct collocations for academic writing and proofreading for basic spelling errors, which currently detract from the professional tone of the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'These building are often have'), missing articles, and incorrect pluralization (e.g., 'A recent studies'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several run-on sentences and missing commas that make the text difficult to parse. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty, which limits your ability to convey ideas precisely. Focusing on basic sentence construction and ensuring subject-verb agreement will significantly improve the clarity and accuracy of your writing.
