Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention space efficiency and cost-effectiveness, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about 'society' is vague and not clearly linked to the benefits of high-rise living. To reach a higher band, you need to provide more specific examples or detailed explanations for your claims. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not summarize the main points effectively, which limits the overall development of the argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often mechanical. You use some cohesive devices like 'To add few more reasons' and 'To encapsulate', but they are sometimes used incorrectly or feel forced. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'this notion remain s successful', where it is not immediately obvious what 'this notion' refers to. Additionally, the paragraphing is somewhat disjointed, and the progression of ideas could be smoother to ensure the reader follows your logic without effort.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'best', and 'big', and there are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'ultra-modern epoch' and 'proper union in form of society'. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'peoples' (plural of people is already people) and 'in my favour of my argument'. Expanding your range to include more academic collocations would significantly improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('this notion remain s'), missing articles ('build tall apartment block'), and punctuation errors (spaces before commas). While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency to improve your accuracy.
