Student answer (Band 5.5)
The best way to give enough houses in big cities is to made large apartment blocks. I completely agree with this statement.
The best way to provide enough homes for people especially in big cities and in urban areas because people come to cities in terms of to find work and jobs. This creates problems to find homes when the apartments are not to enough tall to provides home for larger number of people. For example, in cities when there is no enough tall apartments and they are struggle to find a place to live there they often sleep on footpaths such as in India a large number of people live on footpaths because the building code of a city is not prepared for the enough people to live there in a city.
Secondly, people prefer those cities to get a job and to build a business for themselves where are tall apartments. For example, they find homes easily in the centre of the city to boast his business. Furthermore they do not want to faced problems when they searched for home. Similarly now architects are focused on to make a design of tall apartments in large cities to provide space for people who comes from rural areas in search of good living and for better healthcare facilities.
In conclusion, the tall apartments should be constructed in large cities to cop with a highest ratio of a population to overcome the problems the people faced in big cities to provide a home for his families. Moreover, the government should make policies about building code of a city to built tall apartments for people and releases funds for this projects as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you provide examples such as the situation in India and the benefits for business, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. The explanation of why tall buildings are the 'best' way is not fully explored, as you focus more on the existence of the problem rather than comparing this solution to alternatives. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a more nuanced analysis of the topic rather than simply restating the need for housing.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices like 'Secondly,' 'Furthermore,' and 'In conclusion.' However, the flow between sentences is often mechanical, and some transitions feel forced or grammatically incorrect, such as 'in terms of to find work.' The referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly when using pronouns like 'his' to refer to a general population. While the overall structure is coherent, the progression of ideas would benefit from more sophisticated linking words and a more natural integration of supporting evidence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'big cities' and 'good living.' There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'cop with a highest ratio' (should be 'cope with a high density') and 'boast his business' (likely meant 'boost'). To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition. The range is sufficient to communicate your meaning, but it does not demonstrate the flexibility needed for a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('people who comes'), incorrect verb forms ('to made,' 'to faced,' 'to built'), and article usage ('the enough people'). These errors are persistent throughout the text. While you attempt complex structures, the control over them is inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like tense consistency and pluralization, which will help make your writing more accurate and professional.
