Student answer (Band 5.5)
The excellent way to offer enough homes in large urban areas is to construct high-rise apartment blocks. I strongly agree with the statement and this essay will explain the advantages and positive developments of high-rise apartments.
To begin with, in large urban areas most of the individuals prefer high-rise apartments because it have many facilities with in the apartment premises such as football ground, supermarket, gym and swimming pool. In addition, apartments provide large area in a reasonable price as compared to independent houses. For instance, individuals prefer apartments because it provides spacious living area in a affordable price. Therefore, housing crises is also a reason to construct tall apartments.
Furthermore, many working professionals wants to live in apartments because high-rise apartments are mostly constructed in business districts, which can also saves travel expenses. Another main reason is that high-rise apartments provide 24/7 security which is more required because robberies and crimes are common these days. For example, both husband and wife works in a company and there is no one in your flat so you also need a security that's why many of the working professionals prefer apartments instead of independent house. Therefore, it ensures the safety of residents.
In conclusion, finest way to provide homes in large urban areas is to build high-rise apartments which can prevent housing crises and provide multiple facilities to individuals, it will also benefit to working professionals by providing security and the distance to their companies. I strongly believe the statement that enough homes should be provided in large urban areas by constructing high-rise apartments.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have clearly stated your position in the introduction and maintained it throughout the essay. The ideas presented, such as the inclusion of facilities, cost-effectiveness, and security, are relevant to the prompt. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention 'housing crises', you do not fully explain how tall buildings specifically solve this beyond just providing more units. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are more specific and that you explore the implications of your arguments more deeply. The essay addresses all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis remains at a functional level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'In addition', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as the repetitive use of 'it' to refer to 'apartments' or 'the situation'. While the overall progression is coherent, the range of cohesive devices is somewhat limited, and the transitions could be more sophisticated to improve the natural flow of your arguments.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'premises', 'professionals', and 'districts'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation that prevent a higher score. For example, 'The excellent way' is not a natural collocation for an opening statement; 'The most effective way' would be better. Additionally, you use 'a affordable price' (should be 'an') and 'housing crises' (singular 'crisis' is needed). While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Subject-verb agreement is a recurring issue, such as 'it have many facilities' (should be 'it has') and 'working professionals wants' (should be 'want'). You also have errors with articles ('a affordable price') and pluralization ('independent house' should be 'independent houses'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to suggest a lack of control over more complex structures. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
