Student answer (Band 6.0)

Home is a great blessing of God whether it is in city in the form of apartment or separate home. In this essay I will discuss about what is the most beneficial way to provide enough homes in large cities in the shape of tall buildings block and why I totally agreed with this statement .

To begin with that the city areas are not have wide space and don't have large plots to built large separate houses for family. Many architects construct flats on limited area because it saved a lot of space as well as time to construct multiple houses. Secondly tall buildings save a alot of economy of an individuals who don't have money to build their own house in a city. Those individuals who move from rural area to urban areas can take a house on rent because of limited resources such as money. In this way a huge amount of money can be save instead of buy or build their own home.

Moreover the most crucial benefit of constructing apartment is to safe environment. In cities pollution rate is also high but if builders construct tall buildings society instead of separate home provides better environment and protect from noise and dust pollution. People can grow plants in this society for their better oxygen and healthy life. Furthermore tall buildings society gave the enjoyment of parks for the people at evening and by making buildings facilitate the person with wide parking as well.

In my perspective I totally agreed with this statement that by providing large apartments home in tall buildings can save a money as well as space and provides healthier environment for people.

In conclusion, city areas are over crowded with people so it is most beneficial path to facilitate them with large home in highest buildings. It can enhances the number of residents as well as giving safe environment and meet their financial demands and cover their budget.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. The ideas presented, such as space efficiency, economic benefits for residents, and environmental considerations, are relevant. However, the development of these points is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding 'safe environment' and pollution is a bit vague and lacks specific evidence or logical depth. While the position is consistent throughout, the supporting arguments would benefit from more detailed explanation or concrete examples to reach a higher band. The essay covers all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis is limited.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic progression of ideas from space efficiency to economic factors and environmental benefits. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'To begin with', 'Secondly', 'Moreover', 'Furthermore'). Additionally, some transitions between sentences are slightly abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the phrase 'safe environment' which is not fully explained in the context of tall buildings. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the flow between ideas could be smoother.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'architects', 'urban areas', and 'pollution rate'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'save a alot of economy' and 'tall buildings society'. These errors do not impede communication, but they demonstrate a lack of precision and flexibility in word choice. To improve, the student should focus on more natural collocations and a wider variety of academic vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'city areas are not have'), article usage, and tense consistency. For example, 'I totally agreed' should be 'I totally agree'. While the meaning is generally clear despite these errors, the frequency of mistakes in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. The student should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring consistent verb tenses in argumentative writing.
