Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary world, the best approach to facilitate enough homes in developed cities is to construct the high rise apartments. In my opinion, I strongly believe that tall apartment blocks would be more beneficial in land using and provide the valuable security to the residents.
The primary reason for building a high rise apartments is that It could be built on small area site which save the land and money both. for example, if we construct separate houses for every individuals it would require more space as compared to the apartments and invest heavy amount on each construction which results more costly for the citizens. hence, tall apartments is the better selection instead of a home. apartment owner can also enjoy the city view from the balcony.
Another prominent reason for high rise building is that apartments offer the higher security system. if someone travel from another country or city in searching of career opportunities they definately need a secure environment because they are totally new in that city. consequently, apartments are the safest choice for living alone or sharing the apartment. apartment security will be available 24/7 in need. no one can entre the house without the permission from an information desk at the ground.
In conclusion, although houses are very large and comfortable. However, apartment will be the best approach to live in a large city for every struggler at minimum cost and advanced security system.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the response is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of the arguments. While the ideas regarding land efficiency and security are relevant, they are somewhat underdeveloped. The conclusion is also quite brief. To improve, you should expand on your examples and provide more detailed explanations for your claims to ensure the response meets the length requirement and fully explores the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'consequently', 'for example', and 'in conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are issues with sentence-level cohesion, such as the abrupt transition in the final paragraph: 'Although houses are very large and comfortable. However, apartment will be...'. Improving the variety and natural flow of linking words would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'facilitate enough homes' and 'land using'. Additionally, there are minor errors in word form and collocation, such as 'every individuals' and 'entre the house'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'tall apartments is the better selection'), article usage (e.g., 'in searching of career opportunities'), and punctuation errors. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would be highly beneficial.
