Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern era, Everyone is moving to the cities because it provides a plethora of amenities to individuals to live a comfortable life. Whereas, The city's population is increasing rapidly. With the incline in the population, The best way to provide enough houses in large cities is to build the apartments for their living. I partially agree with this notion and my point of view will elaborated in the conclusion.
Commencing with most prominent reason that providing sufficient homes to people in the large cities are apartments. Firstly, The humans living in the apartments has the parking space available for parking which is the major obstacle in the cities. Moreover, The apartments proper facility of water supply and electricity. Hence, Individuals can live comfortably. While, Several type of apartments are available according to the person's reqiurement. It can be suitable not only for small family but also for larger families. However. Proper security system would be there and Park is aslo there to spend their free time. Further, The elevators are also installed for both older and young people so that they can easily carry things to their apartments. Individuals can also see the view of the city from their apartment.
Another worth considering alternative to eradicate this predicament is the difficulty for many people. The apartments are much expensive that everyone cannot buy it and rental charges are also touching peak. These apartments is only four wall home with no backyard to spend their leisure time. Moreover The modification in the apartments is only done if we have permission form the society or owner of the apartment.
Sometimes This process take lot of time in legal process which cannot be tolerated by the people.
In conclusion, The best way to provide homes for people is lower the prices of apartments and provide houses where they can privately and securely.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of tall apartment blocks. However, the position is not fully developed. While you state you 'partially agree,' the conclusion does not clearly synthesize your argument, instead shifting focus to lowering prices, which was not the primary focus of the prompt. Some ideas, such as the mention of 'parking' and 'elevators,' are listed rather than being fully extended with logical reasoning. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-supported argument that directly relates to the feasibility of tall apartment blocks as a solution to urban housing shortages.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often hindered by mechanical or misused cohesive devices. For example, 'However' is used as a sentence fragment, and 'While' is used incorrectly at the start of a sentence. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'Another worth considering alternative to eradicate this predicament is the difficulty for many people,' which does not clearly link to the previous paragraph. The use of linking words is often repetitive or forced, which disrupts the flow of ideas. Improving the transition between sentences and ensuring that cohesive devices are used accurately will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'The city's population is increasing rapidly' (which is fine, but followed by 'With the incline in the population' instead of 'increase') and 'touching peak' instead of 'reaching a peak.' You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to urban planning and housing, and practice using these words in context to ensure they sound natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('The humans living in the apartments has'), incorrect article usage ('the apartments proper facility'), and sentence fragments ('However. Proper security system would be there'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary capitalization of words like 'Everyone' and 'The' in the middle of sentences. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often marred by errors. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and punctuation will help you achieve a more accurate and professional tone.
