Student answer (Band 5.0)
IN THE EVER EVOLVING WORLD, DEVELOPMENT IN THE CITY PLAYS VITAL ROLE FOR PEOPLE. SIMILARLY, PROVIDING MORE HOUSES OR BUILDING OCCURE SOME PROBLEBS TOO. I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH TIS NOTION. WHICH I WILL MWNTION BELOW IN THE PEREGRAPHS.
TO BEGING WITH, THESE DAYS, THERE ARE MANY CITIES ARE GOING TO DEVELOP OR WE CAN SAY UNDER DEVELOPED CITIES BUT IT IS NOT GOOD FOR ENVIRONMENT. CONSTRUCTING TALL BUILDING IN THE CITY IS THE GOOD IDEA TO PROVIDE MORE FLATS TO THE CITIZENS. HOWEVER, IT NOT ONLY OCCUPIED THE FOREST LAND WHICH IS CLOSE TO THE CITY BUT ALSO CREAT PROBLEMS IN THE ENVIRONMENT. FOR EXAMPLE, IN 2012 SURAT CITY CONSTRUCTED ONE APARTMENT ON THE PLACE OF FOREST AREA. IN ADDITION, THEY CUT DOWN ALL THE TRESS AND DEVELOPED MANY BUILDING AND OTHER FACILITIES. AFTER FEW YEAR IN 2018 THE CITY POPULATION WERE INCREASED, PEOPLE CAN THROW SOME WASTE AND GARBAGES OUT SIDE OF THE BUILDING WHICH IS HARM THE ENVIRONMENT AND AFFECT THE HUMAN HEALTS TOO.
MOREOVER, THERE IS SOME OTHER POINT WHICH AFFECT MOST. THE HIGH RISE BUILDINGS ARE CREAT PROBLEM FOR AEROPLANE AS WELL AS THE TOWER OF THE MOBILE PHONE AND RADIO SIGNALS. THESE MEANS THE TALL APARTMENT DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY BLOCK THE VIEW AND TOWER SIGNAL. WHICH IS NOT GOOD FOR AIRLINES AND THE MOBILE COMPANY. THE BEST EXAMPLE OF THIS REASON IS, IN 2018 THERE IS ONE MOBILE COMPANY JIO AND FEW AIRLINES FILES THE CASE IN THE COURT AGAINS THE LONGEST BUILDING NEAR THE AIRPORT AND IN THE CITY BECAUSE IT IS INDIRECTLY AFFECT ON THEIR BUSINESS WHICH IS THEY DO NOT LIKE ABOUT IT AND IT IS TOTALLY PROBLEMATIC FOR THEM.
IN CONCLUSION, I DISAGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT AND MENTION THE REASON BEHIND THIS PROBLEM. IT IS AFFECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE OTHE WAYS TOO.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited and sometimes illogical. The argument regarding environmental impact is relevant, but the claim that tall buildings specifically cause problems for mobile signals and airlines is poorly supported and lacks credibility. The ideas are presented in a somewhat repetitive manner, and the connection between the examples provided (such as the Surat case) and the broader argument is weak. To improve, you should focus on developing more logical, well-reasoned arguments that directly support your stance rather than relying on anecdotal or questionable claims.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is often disjointed. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'To begin with', 'Moreover', 'In conclusion'), they are often used mechanically or incorrectly. The transition between sentences is frequently abrupt, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. Referencing is also problematic; for instance, the use of 'These means' and 'Which is' creates confusion. To improve, focus on using linking words more naturally and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother, more cohesive argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate, which occasionally impedes communication. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'occured some problebs', 'human healts', and 'files the case'. The range of vocabulary is basic, and there is a lack of precision in expressing complex ideas. Many words are misspelled or used in contexts where they do not fit, such as 'ever evolving world' or 'tower of the mobile phone'. To improve, focus on learning collocations and expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary related to urban planning and environmental issues.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often distract the reader. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many cities are going to develop', 'the city population were increased'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, and there is a lack of control over complex structures. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and full stops. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors.
