Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. The main ideas, such as land efficiency and the provision of amenities, are relevant. However, the development is somewhat limited. While you mention both advantages and disadvantages, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. For instance, the mention of 'mental health' and 'miscommunication' is vague and not fully explained. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed reasoning or concrete illustrations. The conclusion restates your position, but the overall development remains superficial throughout the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between and within them is often mechanical. You rely on simple transitions like 'The main advantage' and 'In conclusion', but the logical progression is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'Heavy crowded my have a more noisy and disturbance to the opposite people.' The use of cohesive devices is limited, and the lack of varied linking words makes the text feel disjointed. Improving the use of conjunctions and relative pronouns would help create a smoother, more professional flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You use basic terms repeatedly, such as 'tall apartments' and 'high rise buildings'. There are also several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'use efficient land' instead of 'use land efficiently' and 'housing storage' instead of 'housing shortage'. Some phrases are non-standard, like 'get accommodation at small space'. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more sophisticated synonyms to express your ideas more accurately and naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('large cities does not contains'), incorrect verb forms ('will be get accommodation'), and misuse of articles or prepositions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several run-on sentences and missing commas. While your meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your verb tenses are used consistently.
