Student answer (Band 5.5)
It's often argued that developing apartments is one of the solution to provide good number of houses in mega cities. Personally, I completely agree with this proposal, because it helps to reduce in congestion in town and provide good homes in cheaper price. I will explain my this view points further in ensuing paragraphs.
The primary reason for my position is that, nowadays number of population is increasing rapidly so not only in big cities countryside as well suffering from shortage in land spaces for house so when you build high sky rise buildings it will offer you good number of houses in small place in results congestion and traffic will reduce in cities. For example, Surat is city which is located in Gujarat which has higher population in whole state but city it self has lower space in area so When you build apartment more space will free to utilize for other development such as wide range of roads and parks.
A second, equally important justification is that, When apartment is built on small land so it is also more cheaper in price compared to House. To explain further, in downtown land price is always very high so if you want to Buy personal house on personal land which is very expensive on the other hand in apartment you will got your own house in cheaper price because you do not need to pay for land price in results every individual can bought home for their family in less price.
To conclude, I strongly believed that apartment is best option to overcome house shortages in big cities because, it helps to reduce congestion in cities and provide House's in cheaper price.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas regarding urban congestion and affordability are relevant and supported by examples, such as the mention of Surat. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive, and the explanation of how high-rise buildings specifically reduce traffic is a bit simplistic. To reach a higher band, you should aim to explore the counter-arguments or provide more nuanced analysis of the social implications of high-density living, rather than repeating the same points about cost and space in each paragraph.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'The primary reason for' and 'A second, equally important justification', which helps the reader follow your argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'I will explain my this view points'. Additionally, some transitions between sentences are abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. Improving the variety and natural flow of your linking words would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'mega cities', 'congestion', and 'downtown'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'good number of houses', 'high sky rise buildings', and 'more cheaper'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and avoiding redundant phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'every individual can bought home' (should be 'can buy a home') and 'in results congestion and traffic will reduce'. There are frequent errors in article usage, subject-verb agreement, and prepositional phrases (e.g., 'in cheaper price' instead of 'at a lower price'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency of the text.
