It is often argued that people who speak a foregin language

It is often argued that those people who are living in another country face a major social as well as practical issues because they speak a foregin language. I strongly agree with the given statement. This essay will discuss both the sides in detail in the following paragraphs.

To begin with, there are several problems that individuals deal with in a foregin country due to language-barrier. First of all, people may find difficult to make a new friends. This is because, they are not able to understand other person language as well as they are also not ab capable to express their own thoughts to others. For instance, a person go to Japan for higher studies, but they do not know "Japanese language", so it might become difficult for that person to express his ideas. As a result, they would not socialise

they might avoid to be more social with others.

In addition, another practical issue is that individual face alot of problem in understanding public transportation services. To elaborate, all the neccessary information in public transportation are written in native language which is a problematic issue for a person who speak or read in a foregin language. For example, according to a survey conducted by National Sample Survey Office

in 2025, in France, on ten thousand foregin people, it was observed that 75% of people faced difficulties in public transportation to understand route because they are written in native language.

Furthermore, another problem they face is to find out a better accommodation. To explain, due to language barrier people might find alot of problems in understanding house document and rent agreement. For instance, people who move to another country get scammed easily because they do not know language and they get trapped in rent agreements because of language barrier.

In conclusion, there are various issues that people face who speak a foregin language in another countries because of language barrier. They are not able to make friends, or get accommodation. All the aspects are discussed above in the paragraphs.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 1.0

The response is completely off-topic. The prompt asks for an opinion on whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide housing in large cities. However, the student has written an essay about the difficulties of living in a foreign country due to language barriers. Because the response fails to address the prompt entirely, it cannot be assessed for task achievement in relation to the specific question asked. The content is irrelevant to the task instructions provided.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs with basic linking words like 'To begin with', 'In addition', and 'Furthermore'. However, because the content is irrelevant to the prompt, the logical progression is disconnected from the task requirements. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and repetitive, and the referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the abrupt transition between sentences in the second paragraph. While the structure follows a standard essay format, the lack of relevance to the topic significantly impacts the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'foregin' (foreign), 'neccessary' (necessary), and 'ab capable' (a grammatical/lexical confusion). The range of vocabulary is basic and lacks the precision required for higher bands. The student relies on simple phrases and struggles with collocations, such as 'make a new friends' and 'get scammed easily'. The lexical range is sufficient to express simple ideas but lacks the flexibility and sophistication needed for academic writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'people who is living', 'they are not ab capable to express', and 'all the neccessary information... are written'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with awkward sentence fragments and run-on sentences. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the writing from reaching a higher band score.
