Student answer (Band 6.5)
Constructing tall apartment buildings is the ideal way to provide a significant number of houses in big cities. This essay totally agrees with this view because it will accommodate more people in less space and also give affordable houses for individuals.
The apartment buildings is the effective because they will provide accommodations for many place in a single building. Nowadays, urban migration is increasing day by day because of career and educational opportunities in big cities. This increase migration has made cities densely populated, which then causes an increased demand of homes. As result, apartment building can help meet these demand because they can provide a considerable number of houses floor by floor. In Sweden, apartment blocks are are huge number, allowing them to accommodate residents and foreign students in small areas.
Another reason is that buying a house in a society is quite costly for many individuals, while apartments are available at cheaper rates. When these apartment blocks are not available, many people have to live in slums, resulting in the rise of these impoverished areas. If apartments blocks are available at affordable prices, people can either buy or rent it with convenience. In addition to this, these building also provide various facilities such as gym, laundry room and security for their residents, making their lives more comfortable. In Pakistan, Lake city has launched a project of building multiple apartment blocks for civilians at cheaper rates, which is appealing for the younger generation.
In conclusion, the most effective way to ensure that enough homes should be provided is to build tall apartment building. I hold this opinion because it enables many people to live in less space and provides them affordable houses with amenities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The essay addresses the prompt clearly and maintains a consistent position throughout. You have provided relevant arguments, such as space efficiency and affordability, and supported them with examples from Sweden and Pakistan. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the discussion on 'slums' and 'impoverished areas' is a strong point but could have been expanded to better explain the socio-economic impact of high-rise living. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are more deeply integrated into the argument rather than just mentioned. Overall, the response is well-focused and directly answers the question.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Another reason is', 'In addition to this', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally imprecise (e.g., 'The apartment buildings is the effective'). Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect ideas more fluidly. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the transition between the concept of urban migration and the specific example of Sweden could be smoother.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'densely populated', 'urban migration', and 'amenities'. There are some instances of awkward word choice or minor errors, such as 'provide accommodations for many place' instead of 'many people' and 'huge number' instead of 'in great numbers'. While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing like 'big cities' or 'cheaper rates'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('The apartment buildings is the effective', 'apartment blocks are are huge number') and article usage ('the rise of these impoverished areas'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are persistent. To improve, pay closer attention to pluralization and verb forms. You have attempted complex sentences, but they often contain minor errors that prevent them from being fully accurate. Increasing your control over these structures will help boost your score.
