Student answer (Band 5.5)

A significant choice for urban cities is to construct tall apartment rather than building houses. I agree with this statement beacuse huge building blocks are much cheaper then home. Additonally transport facility is also near by, although individuals built interaction with others and enjoys with views of whole while standing in bulkeny.

Starting with first point that appartements are less costly then villas beacuse it will consume less place. However, houses are much expensive and also utilize more space. Some key benefits of having a appartment in building are parking space, shops, health facilities etc. For instance my friend is living in 20 stories building where lift is provided by mangement. In ground floor diferent type of shops are operational like glocery store, barber shop and a family clinic. He also have a parking facility in which he parked his bike.

secondally, public transport is aslo provide near to appartments where you can use taxi or public buses to go any where else. while renting or have room can also built interaction with your neighbour. Furthermore at night time you go to bulkeny to see the view of whole city and relax. For example while going to city main market you can afford a taxi near to you building, additionally buses are also avaliale for traveling.

In conclusion, tall building are much better option in city beacuse these cary small space then home and also provide vast of facilities to public. Whereas owning a house is expensive then owning a flat.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention cost-effectiveness and proximity to facilities, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about 'transport facility' is mentioned in the introduction and then repeated in the second body paragraph without adding new insight. To improve, ensure each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported argument rather than restating similar points. The conclusion summarizes your position, but the supporting evidence remains quite basic, which prevents the response from reaching a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'Starting with first point' and 'secondally' are used to signal progression, but the transitions between sentences within paragraphs are often abrupt. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'enjoys with views of whole while standing in bulkeny,' where the connection to the previous idea is weak. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows logically from the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher score. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'beacuse', 'bulkeny', 'glocery', and 'avaliale'. Additionally, word choice is often simplistic or incorrect, such as 'consume less place' instead of 'occupy less space' and 'vast of facilities' instead of 'a wide range of facilities'. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic words and practice using collocations—words that naturally go together—rather than translating directly from your native language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('He also have a parking facility'), incorrect comparative structures ('much cheaper then home' instead of 'than houses'), and missing articles ('In ground floor'). While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often marred by errors in syntax and punctuation. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically the correct use of articles, prepositions, and comparative adjectives, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
