Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt but fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the score. While you clearly state your position, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the argument regarding 'commercial zones' in the third paragraph is not clearly linked back to the main topic of providing homes. The ideas are relevant but lack the depth and extension required for a higher band. To improve, ensure you fully explore the implications of your arguments and provide more detailed supporting evidence.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often hindered by awkward transitions and unclear referencing. For instance, the transition 'In this manners' is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Initially' and 'On the other hand', they are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately. The connection between sentences within paragraphs is often weak, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning consistently throughout the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety needed for a higher score. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'conjested' (congested), 'presious' (precious), and 'contract residence area' (which is unclear). You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to urban planning and housing, and pay closer attention to spelling and the correct usage of words in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with punctuation, such as missing spaces after periods (e.g., 'TV .We'), and subject-verb agreement errors (e.g., 'everybody wish would be fulfill'). Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including correct verb tenses, article usage, and punctuation, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
