Student answer (Band 5.5)
The beneficial way to give sufficient living places in big cities is to construct large building apartments. I strongly agree with this statement as it will provide shelter to a large number of people in a small space and will also enhance city infrastructure. So building multi storey building is crucial.
To begin with, constructing multi apartemental buildings is necessary as in this way a large number of people will get shelter without occupying large spaces. For instance with increasing population there is shortage of good living places for people in cities in so this is the best skyscrapers will help us to cope with demand of increasing populations.
Furthermore, the high residential buildings will also improve city infrastucture that will add to the beauty of city and modern architecture. For example the islambad has modern apartmental buildings which has not only increased its beauty but also attract the forgien investors to invest their money which makes the country economy strong.
In conclusion, constructing tall buildings to provide more homes in urban areas is the best solution. So take proper initiatives to construct them with damaging the natural beauty of the cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 192 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the supporting arguments are underdeveloped and repetitive. The points regarding infrastructure and economic benefits are mentioned but lack the depth and specific evidence required for a higher band. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and illustrative examples to fully address the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is somewhat limited due to the brevity of the text. You use basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with' and 'Furthermore,' but the transitions between sentences are sometimes mechanical. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between population growth and the 'best skyscrapers' is slightly disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, well-developed central theme will enhance the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision expected at higher levels. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and non-standard collocations, such as 'beneficial way to give sufficient living places' and 'multi apartemental buildings.' Spelling errors, such as 'infrastucture,' 'islambad,' and 'forgien,' also detract from the quality of the writing. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure you proofread for spelling accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors, such as 'the islambad has modern apartmental buildings which has not only increased its beauty but also attract the forgien investors.' Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. To improve, you should practice using a wider variety of complex structures, such as conditional sentences or relative clauses, while paying closer attention to basic grammatical accuracy and punctuation.
