Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent decades, some individuals are struggled with accommodation. The demand for house is inclined because of the population is dramatically increasing. Some people believed that build tall apartments blocks in large cities can be beneficial for citizens. While I agree with this statement that high-rise apartment can trigger this issue. however, I do not completely agree with this because it has also other way or strategies to solve this problem
On the one hand, building vertically can be effective way of dealing with limited land densely. A single high-rise building can provide hundred homes without occupying large area of land. This allows cities to accommodate more residents while reducing the need of expand into surrounding rural areas. Moreover, tall buildings can be constructed near public transportation, workplace and other essentials services, which may reduce commuting time and traffic congestion.
On the other hand, building vertically can create several problems. Firstly, high-density housing may lead to overcrowding, noise and lack of privacy, particularly when buildings are poorly designed. In addition, constructing and maintaining tall buildings can be extremely expensive, meaning that the resulting homes may not necessarily affordable for lower income families. Nevertheless, it can be fix through some methods. To illustrate, government should fund on public transportation that may to helpful for those individuals who traveled from rural area.
In light of the above, high-rise building can be effective method for accommodation in small area. But, it should not be considered as a single solution. A combination of high-rise construction, suburban expansion and the renovation of existing buildings would be more sustainable.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task and maintains a clear position throughout. You acknowledge the benefits of high-rise buildings while presenting a balanced view by suggesting alternative strategies. The ideas are relevant and generally well-supported, such as the mention of land efficiency and infrastructure proximity. However, some points could be developed further; for instance, the suggestion of 'suburban expansion' in the conclusion is introduced late and lacks the depth of the earlier arguments. Overall, the response is focused and meets the requirements of the prompt effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'Moreover', and 'In light of the above' to guide the reader through your arguments. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. While the flow is generally smooth, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing (e.g., 'it has also other way' is unclear). Nevertheless, the progression of ideas is easy to follow, and the structure supports the overall argument well.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'high-density housing', 'sustainable', and 'infrastructure'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'some individuals are struggled' (should be 'have struggled') and 'fund on public transportation' (should be 'fund public transportation'). Additionally, 'not necessarily affordable' is a bit clunky. While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, these occasional errors and slightly unnatural phrasings suggest a level consistent with a Band 6.0. Expanding your repertoire of collocations would help improve precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as 'The demand for house is inclined' (should be 'housing is increasing'), 'it has also other way' (should be 'there are other ways'), and 'that may to helpful' (should be 'that may be helpful'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent. While these errors rarely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic tense and prepositional errors would significantly enhance your accuracy.
