In recent years, in large cities numerous individuals experience the problem of lack of homes. However, some people argues that the best method to provide enough homes in urban areas is to build tall apartment blocks. I firmly agree with this statement because it helps many people to stay in cities.

Firstly, nowadays, many people especially young generation come to cities for better opportunities in every fields for instance, employment, health and education. because of this, a lot of people face numerous problems and one of them is not enough homes. It lead to difficulties to find room in rent. to solve this problem people find a lot of solution and the best way to provide enough homes in cities is to build tall apartment blocks. it provides many facilities to people. if apartment will build, it will be easy to find homes.

Secondly, a tall apartment provides enough area to stay with family. People will not feel sepreate from their family because of lack of homes in cities. People don't have to change room because of small homes time to time and it is easier for governments to provide water, electricity and bus routes when everyone live close together.

In conclusion, I totally agree that build a tall building offers many facilities to every person and it helps to make a strong bond with neighbours.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. The arguments regarding 'facilities' and 'strong bonds' are mentioned but not sufficiently supported with specific examples or logical depth. Furthermore, the response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the ability to fully develop the argument. The ideas remain somewhat superficial, and the conclusion does not add new insight or summarize the main points effectively. To improve, you should expand on your arguments with concrete evidence and ensure you meet the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate. For example, the transition 'because of this' is used, but the flow between sentences is often disjointed. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the progression of ideas within paragraphs lacks sophistication. While there is an attempt at logical sequencing, the limited length and repetitive phrasing make the overall structure feel underdeveloped. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits the ability to convey complex ideas. Phrases like 'a lot of' and 'many people' are used frequently. There are also errors in word choice, such as 'every fields' instead of 'every field' and 'sepreate' (spelling error). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to urban planning and housing, and try to use more precise synonyms to avoid repeating the same words throughout the essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('some people argues', 'it lead to'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple, and attempts at complex structures often result in errors, such as 'if apartment will build'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several instances of missing capitalization at the start of sentences. To reach a higher band, you need to practice complex sentence structures, such as using relative clauses or conditional sentences, while ensuring accuracy in basic verb tenses and subject-verb agreement.
