Student answer (Band 5.5)
While population is growing significantly in larger cities, building tall apartment blocks would decrease the pressure of accommodation. In my view, I completely agree constructing a building with flats helps public to live in the cities without stressing for homes.
To begin with, large crowded cities face problems with housing. It is really hard for some people to find homes quickly in urban areas. For example, immigrants who hired in a profession from different countries find difficulty to get a home. countries which have independent houses should
also focus on building tall apartment with multiple blocks and flats to get rid of accommodation
issues. Moreover, public buildings which is abandoned should be transformed into tall accommodation flats.
On the other hand, governments should promote public who are in the construction industries, to build tall apartments. for example, instead of building independent houses for individuals making tall skyscrapers and renting them is the best approach to control population. Furthermore, consuming more places and cutting down trees for homes which are independent would destroy the environment whereas, providing homes which covers enough space and benefit public is the correct way of development of a country.
From my perspective, I completely agree the idea of providing homes in large metropolis cities as tall apartment blocks. Not only this helps public to secure accommodation, but also helps government to manage population and infrastructure of the country.
In conclusion, providing homes in large cities build as apartments is the best way to manage overcrowded places.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding urban density and environmental preservation are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the mention of 'immigrants who hired in a profession' is unclear and lacks sufficient explanation to support the argument effectively. While the main points are present, they could be extended with more specific examples or deeper analysis to reach a higher band. The conclusion restates the position clearly, but the overall development remains somewhat repetitive in its phrasing.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand' are used to guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as the transition into the second paragraph. Referencing is generally clear, though some sentences lack smooth flow, making the progression of ideas feel a bit disjointed at times. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body, and conclusion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'stressing for homes' and 'public buildings which is abandoned'. The phrase 'hired in a profession' is also imprecise. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'metropolis', 'infrastructure', and 'skyscrapers', the overall range is limited. The errors in word choice do not generally impede communication, but they do highlight a lack of flexibility in expressing complex ideas.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('public buildings which is abandoned') and article usage ('the public', 'the idea'). Some sentences are poorly constructed, such as 'immigrants who hired in a profession from different countries find difficulty to get a home'. While the meaning is usually clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and punctuation prevent the writing from reaching a higher band. The control over complex structures is inconsistent.
