Student answer (Band 5.5)
According to few individuals, the solution of provide sufficient place to live for every person in a huge city is to construct blocks of apartments. I agree with this view. It is the only way which can result in building a better future for citizens.
In recent times, there is drastic rise in the population in all countries worldwide. This can lead to various issues; mainly insufficient area to reside. There are fewer hectors in a region for personal utility. Especially half of those area is used for industrial purposes. This situation leads to occupying the green forest areas, casing deforestation. Due to there reasons, apartments becomes the beneficial option. This can help in building various houses in only small proportion of land. On the other hand, this can build a community of inhabitants regardless of gender, religion, age and caste. Develop a sense of togetherness between the members of the residencies. For example, all the people of the apartment meet during events or the children play together to build a conversation which helps develop relationships.
However, there are hand full of unpleasent consequences. This can impact the population in the case of natural calamities. Although, this can be overcome by executing few measures. Firstly, giving the public awareness and few strategies to evade from these circumstances. For instance, telling the residents the tricks to escape from an earthquake can help them get out of risk.
Therefore, the most effective way to provide everybody a place to live in a largely populated city is establishing apartment blocks.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention deforestation and community building, these points are not fully extended with specific evidence or deep analysis. The counter-argument regarding natural calamities is introduced but remains superficial, as the proposed solution of 'public awareness' is quite generic. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more detailed examples or logical consequences for your arguments, ensuring that each point is thoroughly explored rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In recent times,' 'On the other hand,' and 'Therefore.' However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Due to there reasons.' Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence connects logically to the next will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of incorrect word choice or collocation, such as 'fewer hectors' (likely meaning hectares), 'casing deforestation' (causing), and 'hand full of unpleasent consequences' (handful). These errors do not prevent understanding but do indicate a limited range of vocabulary. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more sophisticated synonyms to express your ideas more accurately and naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'solution of provide' (solution to providing), 'apartments becomes' (subject-verb agreement), and 'giving the public awareness' (raising public awareness). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors suggests a need for more careful proofreading and a better grasp of basic grammatical rules, such as article usage and verb forms.
