Student answer (Band 4.0)
The easy and best way to provide manageable homes in big cities to build huge building apartment blocks. In my opinion, the best and cheap way to sell the homes to people for their personal space was that provide homes on cheap prices . So every kind of people like those who cant offord the highest rents or apartment blocks easily offord these type of houses . However the main idea is providing enough homes in large cities to bulid tall apartment blocks. Firstly make sure to buy the place that which are fully provided with facilities to bulid buildings . If you buy public area to bulid high buildings . Must not disturb the law of cities . Because in big cities the population also have been increased. The sources are limited. Make sure to bulid a large building for people. And provide them to a perfectable prices like you must be made only one room with one kitchen, hall and washroom in one apartments . So in this way you provide enough homes in large cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address the prompt regarding tall apartment blocks, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack depth. You mention the need for facilities and legal compliance, but these points are not expanded upon with sufficient reasoning or relevant examples. The position is somewhat unclear, as the essay drifts between discussing affordability and urban planning without a cohesive argument. To improve, you must expand your points with specific examples and ensure you meet the minimum length to allow for a full exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The essay lacks a clear structure, with no distinct paragraphing to separate the introduction, body, and conclusion. The flow of ideas is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. While you use some basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'However', they are often used incorrectly or do not effectively link the sentences. The progression of ideas is not logical, and the lack of clear paragraphing makes the text appear as a single, unorganized block of thought. Improving your use of transition words and organizing your response into clear, logical paragraphs is essential for a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, relying on basic terms such as 'big', 'cheap', and 'build'. There are several instances of awkward word choices and non-standard collocations, such as 'perfectable prices' and 'manageable homes'. Spelling errors are frequent, including 'offord' for 'afford' and 'bulid' for 'build'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas clearly. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to urban planning and housing, and practice using synonyms to avoid repetition.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are significant issues with sentence structure, such as fragments and run-on sentences (e.g., 'If you buy public area to bulid high buildings . Must not disturb the law of cities .'). Subject-verb agreement is inconsistent, and there is a lack of complex sentence structures. Punctuation is also problematic, with spaces placed incorrectly before periods. To improve, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and proofreading for common errors in tense and word order.
