Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this period of inflation the successfull approach is to build tall residence In my opinion, I strongly agree with this notion and my opinion will be discussed in further paragraphs with a suitable conclusion.
Supporting my agreement to the given statement, I firmly believe that taller apartment blocks should be constructed in larger cities for example large states have huge amount of empty spaces which can be used for good purpose like building 3 to 4 floor an apartment. Further more if there will be more huge buildings then communication with neighbour wont be a problem. If there is any emergency the neighbours can come quickly as distance would be super less. If there is a parcel delivery and person is not in home Neighbour can take it on their behalf
If there are huge more taller building then then the amount of the apartment will also be cheaper and low income citizen will be able to fullfill their dream of getting a home
for example cities like Mumbia, South korea,
and other big sates have huge amount of flates, even most of their well known celebrities live in an apartment. On the other hand apartment are also save to will. A 24/hr gaurd will always be there, also there going to be a communities, which can also benefit goverment.
In Conclusion, the great idea to is give enough houses in bigger state is to constructs taller apartment units and my point is clearly state why is is important to agree on it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited and often superficial. For instance, the argument regarding 'communication with neighbors' is not well-linked to the broader issue of housing supply. The examples provided, such as 'Mumbai' and 'South Korea', are mentioned but not effectively explained to support the main argument. The ideas are somewhat repetitive, and the reasoning lacks the depth required for a higher band. To improve, you should focus on expanding your arguments with more logical analysis and relevant, well-explained examples that directly relate to urban planning and housing solutions.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression of ideas is weak. Transitions between sentences are often mechanical or missing, such as the abrupt jump between the idea of parcel delivery and the cost of apartments. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes inaccurate, which makes the flow of the argument feel disjointed. While there is a clear introduction and conclusion, the internal structure of the body paragraphs lacks the necessary signposting to guide the reader through your reasoning. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and spelling errors, such as 'residence' instead of 'residential', 'flates' instead of 'flats', and 'gaurd' instead of 'guard'. Phrases like 'super less' are informal and inappropriate for an academic essay. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the general meaning, it lacks the range and precision required for a higher score. You should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to urban development and housing, and practice using more formal synonyms for common words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'apartment are also save to will'), missing articles, and incorrect sentence structures. The range of grammatical structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with some attempts at complex ones that are often faulty. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas. To improve, you should work on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and practicing the correct use of articles and prepositions. Focusing on accuracy in simple sentences before attempting more complex structures will help reduce the frequency of errors.
