Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern society,it is often argued that to provide alternatives houses to be tall apartments for huge cities .i strongly agree because numerous houses can be available for individuals.
I consider the idea of building tall and lengthy apartments for the growth of enourmous cities that can be available for everyone is a quite good idea.the particular reason for circumstances is to make everyone can afford that building or a piece of house by looking at the growing population cities have become a massive and rapid demand for houses.so, it is a beneficial concept to build tall accomodations.
On the other hand, it can be detrimental for environment because of less trees and no sighting for any forest by building tall buildings it can decrease the levels of good quality of air and it leads to massive abruption of unethical situations without trees and nature it would be challenging for individuals and animals. moreover, it can lead to dull quality of life with being only surrounded by houses not, with the greenary.
Furthermore, i believe that making enough and balanced way for both housing and nature would be a great idea for maintaing the quality of life. it should include the surroundings with plants and parks where nature would be stored this can affect the peace of public and inhabitants.
To summarize, the key points discussed above can be implemented for a better result and harmony between the nature and societical growth it would benefit both if equally maintained the overall growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is limited. While you mention the need for housing due to population growth and the environmental impact of tall buildings, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. The explanation of why tall buildings are a 'beneficial concept' is somewhat repetitive and vague. To improve, you should provide concrete examples, such as mentioning specific cities or urban planning models, and ensure that your arguments are fully extended rather than just stated. The conclusion attempts to balance the two sides, which is a good approach, but the overall development remains at a basic level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'the particular reason for circumstances is...' is an awkward transition that does not clearly link the ideas. Some sentences are disjointed, and the flow between ideas is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors. While there is an overall progression from the benefits to the drawbacks and a final synthesis, the internal logic within paragraphs could be strengthened by using more varied and precise linking words to connect your points more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You rely on basic words like 'good', 'massive', and 'houses'. There are also instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'abruption of unethical situations' and 'sighting for any forest', which make the meaning unclear. While you attempt to use some academic vocabulary like 'detrimental' and 'inhabitants', these are often used in contexts that feel slightly unnatural. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary and focus on using words that are appropriate for an academic essay, ensuring that collocations are accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are frequent issues with sentence structure, such as 'make everyone can afford' (should be 'ensure everyone can afford') and 'with being only surrounded by houses not, with the greenary'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and correct article usage. Reducing the number of errors in simple sentences will significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
