Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention land utilization and modern facilities, the arguments are often repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about 'traffic congestion' is introduced but not clearly linked to how tall buildings solve it. The conclusion is fragmented and repetitive, failing to synthesize the arguments effectively. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea supported by clear reasoning and specific examples, rather than listing points in a disjointed manner.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and incomplete sentences. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'For instance' and 'To sum up', but they are often applied mechanically or incorrectly (e.g., 'Further-or and in another crucial point'). The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks the necessary cohesion to guide the reader smoothly through your points. Improving the use of transition signals and ensuring sentences connect logically is essential.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and often imprecise. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'growing individuals are have come moved' and 'prepare to live in flats instead of house'. Some words are used incorrectly, such as 'crest' instead of 'create' and 'pro' instead of 'provides'. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'sustainable solution' and 'traffic congestion', the overall control is weak, and spelling errors (e.g., 'appartmunts', 'scheznuls', 'cheuper') occur throughout the text, which occasionally impedes the reader's understanding.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('people are has settled'), incorrect verb tenses, and fragmented sentence structures ('This resulting government should build...'). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the ones attempted are often grammatically incorrect, such as 'where which less utilize land'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several sentences ending abruptly or lacking necessary commas. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
